If what you're saying is true, then I have no interest in continuing to use X as social media. I don't "compete" with people on social media; I connect with other people, I share information and glean information from others. If X's algorithms are set to facilitate COMPETITION, then X isn't even social media - it's some kind of rivalry app. Not my thing. Thanks for the heads up, because yes - I have complained that Iappear to be shadowbanned on X, just like on Facebook, because I can't even get more than a random person to even respond to my posts on X. Good to know that it's really that I'm not "competing" with the other folks on X. I'll just spend more time on Gab.com and TruthSocial.com, then. Thanks for the information, Kanekoa.

I went into settings like you said, and it was crazy the stuff that X thought I was interested in!
That may work only for people who have premium X accounts. Those who can't afford to pay should not have visibility according Elon Musk.
