What radicalized him weren't fringe accounts. They were the same talking points repeated every day on the left.

Before the Election

Leading up to November 2024, Allen repeatedly shared posts from Kamala Harris and MeidasTouch:

• “BREAKING: Taylor Swift ENDORSES VP Kamala Harris”

• “Trump’s Project 2025 would eliminate the independence of the DOJ”

He shared sitting Democrats — Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, J.B. Pritzker, Elizabeth Warren, Sheldon Whitehouse:

• “Trump is already breaking the law.”

• “Prepare… for a tsunami of plunder and corruption.”

He retweeted mainstream Democrat commentators comparing Trump to Hitler. Jennifer Rubin: “Imagine obsessing over polls in the 1933 German election without covering Mein Kampf. That is what is going on now.” And: “Trump is instigating a pogrom. This is what fascists do.”

He retweeted a post saying “Voting for Jill Stein is such embarassing shit.” Another read: “We’ll either have the first woman president or the end of America.” He shared a Noah Smith post on Trump cancelling the CHIPS Act, and a YourAnonCentral post saying to “ground Trump’s planes and confiscate his passport” if he lost.

After the Election

Once Trump won, Allen accepted the framing that a “fascist convicted felon” had become president.

He shared Bill Kristol’s claim that “the Trumpist authoritarian project of personalized, concentrated, and arbitrary power is proceeding.”

He shared the conspiracy theories popular on X — that Trump staged the Butler assassination attempt, that Elon Musk’s Starlink stole the 2024 election. Andrea Chalupa: “This Starlink story is really taking off.” Allen called for a recount.

On Tulsi Gabbard, he shared posts calling her “a pure Russian asset” and warning that “the only way Tulsi gets confirmed is for the U.S. Senate to wholly abdicate its responsibility to maintain the safety and security of U.S. citizens.”

On Trump’s cabinet, he shared posts labeling them “rapist, spy, zealot, and antivaxer.” On RFK Jr., he worried people wouldn’t be able to get vaccines. The Lincoln Project: “Get your family vaccinated, while you still can.”

He shared post after post from popular Democrat influencers Will Stancil and MuellerSheWrote:

• “Trump is nominating the most corrupt, ethically compromised… incompetent cabinet.”

• “Trump was openly supportive of rioters ransacking the US Capitol.”

• “It’s a constitutional crisis.”

• “The evidence Jack Smith has is DAMNING.”

He retweeted mainstream Democrats Fred Wellman, David Frum, JoJoFromJerz, and Don Winslow:

• “Truly fascist.”

• “Just name Putin as director of national intelligence.”

• “Biden should nullify the election to save our democracy.”

• “THERE. IS. NO. LAW. ANYMORE.”

He shared a Mary Trump post: “Democrats: Stop playing by the rules that no longer exist.” He retweeted Black Knight 10K: “The Supreme Court just made him king.” And: “Immediately hires Himmler, Goebells, and Heydrich.” He retweeted Richard Stengel: “This is what an oligarchy looks like.”

He shared posts from MSNBC contributors Malcolm Nance and Elie Mystal claiming Trump’s policies would lead to widespread deaths and the end of elections:

• “Daughters, wives, children… will die.”

• “Free hunting season for blacks.”

• “We are a one-party state now.”

In His Own Words

Allen wasn’t just amplifying. He was writing.

On November 4, 2024, the day before the election: “Go vote tomorrow. I voted Kamala a week ago cause Cali mail-in ballots.”

The next day, he quote-tweeted Tiffany Trump’s post about her father, replying with scripture: “You belong to your father, the devil…”

On November 7, when Biden congratulated Trump on the win, Allen wrote: “And thus he completes his role of Hindenburg, an old, well-respected politician who through careful adherence to rules walked fascism into power.”

That same day, he posted: “the positive of having elected someone who will accelerate climate change and either give putin america’s nukes or set them off randomly:” He linked a YouTube video of Tom Lehrer’s “We Will All Go Together When We Go.”

On the Routh Assassination Attempt

When Ryan Routh attempted to assassinate Donald Trump, Allen shared posts downplaying, questioning, and justifying the attempt:

• “fake assassination gimmick”

• “Pray for Trump? Why would I pray for the Antichrist?”

• “numb to them like school shootings”

• “Sorry I don’t believe him”

A passionate online defender of Ukraine, Allen also shared posts working to distance Routh from Ukraine while connecting him to Russia, and even to Michael Flynn:

• “Routh was never in the Ukraine military”

• “Routh has no connetion to Azov”

• “Routh was groomed by the Kremlin”

In the days that followed, he shared content from Rick Wilson, Joe Walsh, Hakeem Jeffries, and Adam Kinzinger:

• “Trump is a fascist… autocrat, traitor, danger to the nation.”

• “Don’t normalize him. He’s a lawless, un-American psychopath.”

• “They have a detailed plan to control your life. It’s called Project 2025.”

The Pattern

These are not fringe accounts. They are mainstream Democratic voices, MSNBC contributors, sitting members of Congress, the most-shared political commentators on social media.

Cole Allen looked like he came from a good family. Caltech. Master's in computer science. His political beliefs mirrored mainstream Democrat talking points — the same ones repeated every day on cable news, in congressional speeches, in viral social media posts.

And he charged a Secret Service checkpoint with a shotgun, willing to die for a shot at the President.

This is why the left constantly calls Trump “Hitler,” ICE the “Gestapo,” and us “fascists.” That rhetoric is how violence gets justified — against Trump, against Charlie, against any of us.

And It's Escalating

Cole Allen is not an aberration.

A 2025 study by the Network Contagion Research Institute, conducted with Rutgers University’s Social Perception Lab, found that 55% of left-of-center respondents said the murder of Donald Trump was “at least somewhat justified.” 48% said the same of Elon Musk. Roughly 60% of left-of-center respondents said it was at least somewhat acceptable to destroy a Tesla dealership in protest.

These were not abstract numbers.

Throughout 2025, Tesla dealerships, vehicles, and charging stations were attacked with Molotov cocktails, arson, and gunfire. By late March, there had been at least 80 reported cases of vandalism or arson against Tesla. The FBI launched a dedicated task force. The Attorney General called it domestic terrorism. Federal indictments stacked up across Colorado, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, and Nevada.

In September 2025, Tyler Robinson shot Charlie Kirk in the neck at Utah Valley University. Robinson told family he had “had enough of [Kirk’s] hatred.” Utah Governor Spencer Cox said Robinson was “deeply indoctrinated with leftist ideology.” Robinson’s mother told investigators that over the past year, her son had become more political — and started leaning further to the left.

And now: Cole Allen. The fourth assassination attempt against Donald Trump.

Butler, Pennsylvania — Thomas Crooks, July 2024. West Palm Beach — Ryan Routh, September 2024. Mar-a-Lago — Austin Tucker Martin, armed with a shotgun, February 2025. The Washington Hilton — Cole Allen, April 2026.

Four attempts. One pattern. The same talking points feeding all of it.

The “Luigi left” is growing.

Even Caltech grads from good families, repeating mainstream Democrat talking points, are willing to die for a shot at the President.

For three months, Candace Owens told her audience that two Egyptian military planes were the “key to solving Charlie Kirk’s murder.”

She repeated it across episode after episode in October, November, and December.

According to her theory, those aircraft tracked Charlie’s wife, Erika Kirk, 73 times over three years, and exposed a massive international conspiracy involving the U.S. government, the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security, France, Israel, and even Brigitte Macron.

The planes, she said, were the smoking gun.

There was just one problem.

The data was wrong.

I purchased the FlightRadar24 and FlightAware logs for those aircraft and reviewed the flight records myself.

When the data was examined, the planes were in the wrong locations 66% of the time. Roughly 60% of the time they were on entirely different continents than where Candace claimed they were.

On top of that, Candace provided no evidence for Erika Kirk’s location, which she appeared to get wrong nearly 100% of the time.

In other words, the entire theory was built on a fraudulent spreadsheet.

On December 16, after these errors were exposed, Candace admitted her spreadsheet was “misleading” and promised her audience an updated timeline correcting the record.

It’s been over two months.

There has been no update.

So the obvious question remains:

What happened to the Egyptian planes?

Constructing a Narrative

What’s striking about this theory is that Candace didn’t follow evidence toward a conclusion. She constructed a narrative designed to reach two topics she was already focused on long before Charlie’s murder: Israel and Brigitte Macron.

The story stretched outward until Egyptian planes somehow connected to both.

When that narrative collapsed, the silence that followed said everything.

Candace’s investigation into Charlie’s murder isn’t a legitimate pursuit of truth.

When the spreadsheet fell apart, instead of correcting the record with her audience, she simply moved the goalposts.

True integrity would require a public correction as loud as the original accusations.

Instead, those planes were “the key to solving Charlie’s murder” in October, November, and December.

But in January and February, they apparently weren’t worth a single tweet or update.

Candace isn’t investigating a murder.

She’s squeezing Charlie’s murder for views until the juice runs dry, and then moving on to the next squeeze.

She’s dancing on Charlie’s grave while monetizing his murder.

It’s transparent. It’s dishonest. And it’s a disgrace to Charlie’s memory.

There is something profoundly wrong about claiming to want justice for Charlie while systematically slandering the people and the organization he spent his entire life building.

Candace says she’s defending his legacy.

But she has treated Charlie’s closest friends and his own widow as co-conspirators.

And she has done it without presenting a single piece of direct evidence.

What she has actually done is invert the truth.

Think about that.

Candace looks away from a confession and a murder weapon, and instead points toward the First Lady of France.

Why?

Why would any "investigative journalist" work this hard to ignore the person who actually pulled the trigger to focus on Brigitte Macron?

In most courtrooms, a confession backed by physical evidence leads to a conviction.

In Candace’s narrative, it was simply inconvenient to the view count on her ad-reading soap opera.

So instead of following the evidence to the person who actually pulled the trigger, she constructed a story that runs from Egyptian planes to Brigitte Macron.

It’s a complete reversal of reality.

The man identified by his own parents and who confessed to the crime multiple times becomes irrelevant.

Meanwhile Egyptian planes, Charlie’s organization, and even his grieving widow are cast as suspects.

That isn’t justice.

It’s character assassination disguised as investigation.

And doing it under the banner of “searching for the truth” is a disgrace to Charlie Kirk’s memory.

Candace claimed Egyptian planes were the key to solving Charlie Kirk’s murder.

But the moment the data was exposed as wrong, the planes vanished.

Strong evidence shows that corrupt FBI officials and former Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón deliberately concealed Chinese Communist Party (CCP) infiltration of U.S. election systems—because exposing it would have politically benefited Donald Trump.

Kash Patel and Dan Bongino now have a rare opportunity: expose how deeply politicized the FBI became, remove CCP-controlled software from America’s elections, and finish an investigation that was already 90% complete before it was sabotaged.

At the center of the scandal is Konnech, a Michigan-based election software company secretly developed and financed by two Chinese firms—Jinhua Yulian Network and Jinhua Hongzheng Technology—under contract with China’s National People’s Congress and in partnership with state-owned giants like Huawei, China Telecom, China Unicom, China Mobile, and Lenovo.

Konnech’s flagship product, PollChief, is used to manage poll worker scheduling, equipment deployment, and logistics in major U.S. cities including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Detroit, Washington D.C., Fairfax County, and St. Louis.

In early 2021, True the Vote’s Catherine Engelbrecht and Gregg Phillips discovered that Konnech was storing the personally identifiable information (PII) of U.S. election workers, judges, and voters on servers in China. Using open-source tools like Binary Edge, they traced PollChief to Chinese IP addresses—where they found unsecured databases containing names, Social Security numbers, addresses, bank information, voter roll data, polling location schematics, provisional ballot serial numbers, and even passwords for voting machines.

They alerted FBI field offices in Detroit and San Antonio, where agents took the threat seriously and launched a 15-month counterintelligence investigation. But in April 2022—just before the release of Dinesh D’Souza’s 2000 Mules, a film on 2020 election fraud featuring True the Vote—FBI headquarters in Washington, D.C. intervened and flipped the investigation on its head.

Field agents warned Engelbrecht and Phillips that they, not Konnech, were now considered the threat. Two senior female FBI officials in Washington D.C. were reportedly preparing criminal charges against them rather than Konnech’s CEO Eugene Yu. Engelbrecht was warned she and Phillips might be prosecuted for accessing Konnech’s data on Chinese servers.

The FBI even tipped off Konnech about the investigation—compromising the case—and began circulating internal accusations that Phillips had committed cybercrimes, referring those allegations to the CIA and NSA. Phillips said their goal was to “Roger Stone” him—publicly smear and criminalize him as they had done to Trump allies.

In fear for their safety, a field agent advised Engelbrecht and Phillips to take the “nuclear option”—go public. On August 13, 2022, they did just that at The Pit, a closed-door briefing in Arizona with 200 cybersecurity experts, journalists, and election integrity investigators.

Two weeks later, Konnech sued them. In a stunning series of courtroom actions, Engelbrecht and Phillips were jailed and held in solitary confinement—until the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals ordered their immediate release. The FBI stood by and let it happen. After their release, they published thousands of documents exposing Konnech’s ties to China. Within days, Konnech dropped the lawsuit.

Meanwhile, independent researchers quickly pieced together Eugene Yu’s background. Born in China, Jianwei Yu (于建伟) graduated from Zhejiang University in 1982 and worked for the CCP from 1983 to 1985 as a project manager in the Guangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone. He moved to the U.S. in 1986 to pursue an MBA at Wake Forest University.

In 2002, Yu founded Konnech. By November 2005, he had launched a Chinese subsidiary—Jinhua Yulian Network—funded and overseen by the CCP. That same year, he was profiled as an “overseas scholar” in a Chinese-language publication by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) and the American Zhu Kezhen Education Foundation (AZKEF).

CAST is a formal CCP arm linking Chinese leadership with overseas scientists and technologists. AZKEF, where Yu served on the finance committee, flew U.S. researchers—including Harvard’s Charles Lieber—to Chinese universities. Lieber was later arrested for failing to disclose his ties to China’s Thousand Talents Plan, one of the CCP’s many programs that recruit foreign experts to encourage the illicit transfer of intellectual property.

Konnech’s Chinese ties ran deep. It partnered with Michigan State University’s Confucius Institute, developed software in CCP-run tech parks, and directly served China’s National People’s Congress (NPC) and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).

On January 25, 2006, Yu’s Chinese company was accepted into the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ Jinhua Science and Technology Park—a CCP-controlled tech incubator. From that point on, Jinhua Yulian Network and Konnech, were financed, developed, and controlled by the Chinese Communist Party.

Just a month later, on February 25, 2006, Yu registered the domain yu-lian.cn for Jinhua Yulian Network using his Konnech email address (eyu@konnech.com). Archived versions of the company’s Chinese-language website show Yu praising “Comrade Jiang Zemin” and the Chinese Communist Party, while promoting Konnech’s software products used by the National People’s Congress, the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Election Management Solutions Detroit, and U.S. Overseas Voters.

In December 2006, Konnech partnered with the Confucius Institute to build a Chinese communication platform called ChineseBrief.com. Yu registered CNBrief LLC, launched www.cnbrief.com, and displayed a banner in Chinese that translated to: “Chinese Brief – Overseas Chinese Network.”

Confucius Institutes are CCP-funded cultural centers embedded in Western universities that U.S. intelligence agencies and lawmakers have long warned operate under the direction of the CCP.

On July 18, 2007, an archived Chinese government website showed Yu offering a 5 million yuan (~$700,000 USD) software development contract on behalf of Jinhua Yulian Network, again using his Konnech email and website.

Despite earlier public denials, Konnech quietly admitted in 2022 that it operated a Chinese subsidiary, Jinhua Yulian Network, where Chinese nationals developed and tested its software—though the company claimed it only used “dummy data” and had no CCP affiliation. That narrative continued to collapse as court documents, whistleblower affidavits, and forensic evidence revealed the opposite.

In October 2022, Eugene Yu was arrested by the LA District Attorney’s Office and charged with embezzlement and illegally storing election worker data in China. Deputy DA Eric Neff called it possibly “the largest breach of election data in American history.” Court filings revealed that Konnech’s Chinese developers had “super administrator” access to all client systems.

During Yu’s bond hearing, his attorney revealed that the FBI had contacted Yu weeks before his arrest—not to investigate—but to help “keep Konnech in business” and notify him of a potential “data breach.” This directly corroborated Engelbrecht and Phillips’ story.

Court documents further confirmed their claims, showing detailed communications between True the Vote and Detroit and San Antonio FBI agents Bruce Fowler, Huy Nguyen, Kevin McKenna, and Kristina Spindel. In one of her final messages, Engelbrecht wrote: “We took the nuclear option and went public.”

But just one month after Yu’s arrest, George Gascón dropped the charges. He cited concerns about “bias,” “timing,” and the “pace of the investigation.” Shortly after, Neff was demoted, placed on leave, and eventually reassigned. In April 2024, Neff filed a legal claim against Gascón, alleging political interference. According to Neff, Gascón panicked after Donald Trump publicly praised Yu’s arrest, fearing the case might damage his political image.

Despite four senior prosecutors and Chief Deputy DA Sharon Woo thoroughly vetting the evidence and unanimously approving the charges, Gascón removed Neff as lead prosecutor and replaced him with someone who quickly dismissed the case.

Meanwhile, cybersecurity experts Nate Cain and Harry Haury, both hired by the DA’s office, submitted sworn declarations confirming:

• U.S. election data was stored on Chinese servers

• PII of judges, poll workers, and voters was exposed

• Chinese nationals had full administrative access

• Metadata showed Eugene Yu working on software for the CCP’s National People’s Congress

Cain and Haury followed federal evidentiary standards, recording screen captures, logging chain-of-custody records, and preserving the digital forensics. They still hold this evidence today, should Kash Patel, Dan Bongino, or congressional investigators choose to investigate.

Cain, a cleared federal contractor, also filed a national security report with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), warning of a foreign intelligence breach involving Konnech and the Chinese government. The DCSA reviewed and verified the report, then forwarded it to the FBI—which declined to investigate.

Cain later revealed that when a police superintendent in a major U.S. county shared the evidence with the FBI, the Bureau responded: they were “not interested” in investigating. Los Angeles County also failed to notify other jurisdictions whose election data had been compromised.

Two former Konnech employees came forward:

• Grant Bradley, who oversaw 12 employees in Michigan, signed affidavits confirming U.S. election data was routinely sent to Chinese nationals. He was fired after refusing to lie to clients.

• Peter McCallister, former General Manager of Konnech Australia, testified that all Konnech software was developed in China by Eugene Yu’s brother and nephew—Lin Yu and Jun Yu—along with a team of 100 Chinese software engineers.

McCallister further testified that Konnech’s Chinese subsidiary, Jinhua Hongzheng Technology, was the primary software supplier to the CCP. He said Yu sold the same election software used by China’s NPC and CPPCC to the Australian government.

Jinhua Hongzheng Technology—built on the foundation of Jinhua Yulian Network—serves over 430 CCP government clients across 20 provinces. It develops election, administrative, and conference software for China’s National People’s Congress and Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, and partners with state-owned firms like Huawei, China Telecom, China Mobile, China Unicom, and Lenovo—all designated national security threats by the U.S. government.

An archived webpage from Jinhua Hongzheng Technology titled “US and Chinese Patents” showcases patents from Jinhua Yulian Network and a a U.S. patent issued to Konnech CEO Eugene Yu.

A 2016 archived Chinese social media post from the company states that Jinhua Hongzheng Technology was formerly “Jinhua Yulian Network Technology Co., Ltd. (Konnech, Ltd), established in November 2005.” The same post boasts the company provides election software to more than 20 government agencies in North America, displaying Chinese-translated seals from Washington, D.C.; Loudoun County, VA; Detroit, MI; St. Louis, MO; Prince William County, VA; St. Charles County, MO; Hillsborough County, FL; Edmonton, Alberta; Regina, Saskatchewan; and the State of Montana.

In 2016, Konnech’s U.S. website displayed these same government seals—but notably scrubbed all references to China and the CCP.

On July 31, 2015, Eugene Yu registered the domain hongzhengtech.cn for Jinhua Hongzheng Technology using his official Konnech email address: admin@konnech.com.

Despite overwhelming evidence—from court records, archived websites, whistleblower affidavits, domain registrations, patent transfers, and forensic reports—federal officials and George Gascón shut down the investigation, targeted the whistleblowers, and protected a company with deep ties to the Chinese Communist Party.

This may be the most serious breach of election infrastructure in American history. And the only reason it was buried? Because the evidence came from Trump-aligned election integrity advocates—and confirming it would have vindicated them.

It’s time for Kash Patel and Dan Bongino to bring this investigation into the light. The trail is clear. The evidence is damning. The threat is real. The American people deserve to know the full extent of the CCP’s penetration into our election systems—and who in our own government helped cover it up.

Let’s start with what fuels the “For You” feed.

Step 1: Retrieval – What Even Gets Considered?

Each time you log in, X fetches ~1,500 posts that it thinks you might like.

They come from:

• In-network (accounts you follow): ~50%

• Out-of-network (accounts you don’t follow): ~50%

Your Real Graph score—based on likes, replies, reposts, profile visits, DMs, and clicks—determines if your posts appear in your followers’ feeds.

Out-of-network posts come from:

• Social graph (~30%): What your mutuals engage with

• Clusters (~70%): X groups users by shared interests (think Elon, Trump, NFL, AI, Swifties, crypto, etc.)

The key principle to understand is this: you don’t need a large following to reach a large audience—if you post content that aligns with popular clusters.

Step 2: Ranking – How You Compete

Posts are ranked by how likely you are to engage. The more valuable the engagement, the heavier the weight:

• Like = 0.5x

• Repost = 1x

• Watching a video >2 min = 11x

• Clicking profile → liking or replying = 12x

• Reply = 27x

• Conversation back-and-forth = up to 75x

The more your post drives these high-weight actions, the higher it ranks.

Replies, profile clicks, and time-on-post are rocket fuel for visibility.

The specific weights may change over time, but the core principle remains: more engagement = more views.

Step 3: Filtering – What Gets Cut

Before you see those top posts, X trims the list. It removes:

• Posts from users you’ve blocked, muted, or content you’ve already seen

• Too many posts from one user (diversity filter)

• Posts with low social proof (e.g., no mutuals follow or engage)

• All but the first tweet in a thread (for context)

Filtering keeps your feed relevant and engaging.

Step 4: Mixing – What You See

Finally, the top content is mixed with:

• Sponsored ads

• Platform prompts

• Creator recommendations

If your content isn’t being retrieved or doesn’t survive ranking—it’s game over.

Here’s what to do:

He argues that the war could have ended in April 2022, when Putin and Zelensky signed a peace agreement. However, he asserts that the US and NATO sent Boris Johnson to sabotage the agreement, which would have resulted in Russian troop withdrawal from Ukraine in exchange for a promise that Ukraine would not join NATO.

Kennedy Jr. criticizes the proxy nature of the war, stating, "Since then, there have been 350,000 Ukrainian kids that have been killed. And we've turned this into a proxy war between Russia and the United States. We were told this was a humanitarian exercise."

He highlights contradictory statements made by President Biden and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, indicating that the US's motives in Ukraine were not purely humanitarian but rather focused on regime change and degrading the Russian military.

"If it was humanitarian, that means reducing bloodshed and shortening the conflict. But when President Biden was asked why are we over there? He said for regime change of Vladimir Putin."

"His Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said in April 2022 that the reason for America's presence in Ukraine is to degrade the Russian military and exhausts its capacity to operate anywhere in the world. That is the opposite of a humanitarian mission. That is a mission about a war of attrition in which the people who are dying are Ukrainians."

Referring to his uncle's approach to international relations, Kennedy Jr. underscores the importance of understanding adversaries' perspectives and recognizing their legitimate security concerns. He notes that NATO's expansion into Eastern Europe, despite assurances given to Russia in 1992, has created tension and mistrust.

"Secretary Baker famously said at the time, we will not move NATO one inch to the east. Since then, we have moved it 1000 miles to the east into 14 countries, and we put Aegis missile systems into Romania and Poland, right near Russia's border."

Drawing historical parallels, Kennedy Jr. mentions the Cuban Missile Crisis and his uncle's negotiations with the Soviet Union, illustrating the need for diplomatic solutions and compromise.

"When Russia put nuclear missiles in Cuba, which is farther away than we now have to Moscow, we would have invaded if they hadn't withdrawn them. My uncle, who was president then, would have gone in. My uncle knew why the Russians had done it.

Khrushchev did it because we had put Jupiter missile systems in Italy and Turkey. My uncle and my father met with Ambassador Dobrynin secretly and made a deal. If you remove your missiles now, we will take ours out of Turkey."

"The Russians have been invaded three times through Ukraine. The last time they were invaded, the Germans killed 1 out of every 7 Russians. They destroyed 1/3 of Russia to rubble. They burned the fields."

"It's as if, my uncle said in his 1963 speech at American University, they destroyed the equivalent of the entire part of the US from the east coast to Chicago. Imagine if all the wheat fields and all the forests were burned. All this is reduced to rubble. That's what was done."

They have a legitimate concern about us moving NATO into Ukraine. We would never let them put missile systems in Canada or Mexico, we would invade if they did that. And we have to be able to put ourselves in their positions."

Kennedy Jr. references the opinions of respected U.S. government figures such as George Kennan, William Perry, and William Burns, who have all warned that moving NATO into Ukraine would cross Russia's "red line," resulting in violent retaliation.

To emphasize the importance of truth and understanding, Kennedy Jr. shares the story of Phil Donahue, a news host who lost his job at the height of his popularity, for challenging the narrative surrounding the Iraq War and saying that there were no weapons of mass destruction. He calls for a nuanced and empathetic approach to international relations, urging people to seek the truth and move away from simplistic depictions of conflicts where America is always portrayed as the "good guy."

"So what I'm saying today, I know 10 years from now, everybody's going to understand this is the truth. We have been lied to by our press our government, and we need to start hearing the truth, and we need to stop paying attention to these comic book depictions that say there are bad guys and good guys and America is always the good guy and we never make mistakes.

We have to understand there's nuance. There's complexity in our relationships, and we need to be able to put ourselves in the shoes of our adversaries if we're going to have true peace in the world which we all want."

In a groundbreaking revelation, it has come to light that Dr. Peter Hotez, an esteemed vaccine researcher, has been entangled in a web of funding, collaboration, and research with Chinese military scientists potentially involved in the development of COVID-19. The intricate tale weaves together key Chinese military virologists and culminates in the smoking gun evidence surrounding COVID-19’s notorious furin cleavage site.

At the center of this narrative lies Dr. Hotez, a distinguished professor at Baylor College of Medicine, who secured a substantial research grant (R01AI098775) from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) led by Dr. Anthony Fauci. This grant, amounting to over $1 million per year, supports Dr. Hotez's project titled "RBD Recombinant Protein-Based SARS Vaccine for Biodefense," with Dr. Shibo Jiang listed as a Principal Investigator.

Dr. Shibo Jiang, a professor at Fudan University, boasts an impressive academic background. After completing his Master's degree from the People’s Liberation Army's Guangzhou First Military Medical University (广州第一军医大学) and his Medical Doctor degree from Xi'an Fourth Military Medical University (西安第四军医大学微), he pursued postdoctoral training at Rockefeller University in New York from 1987 to 1990.

Subsequently, he held various positions at the New York Blood Center's Lindsley F. Kimball Research Institute until 2010, including Head of the Viral Immunology Laboratory. Since then, he has served as a professor at Fudan University's Key Laboratory of Medical Molecular Virology in Shanghai, China.

During his time in the United States, Dr. Shibo Jiang also acted as a visiting professor at several prestigious People's Liberation Army (PLA) universities, including the First and Fourth Military Medical University, the Academy of Military Medical Sciences (AMMS), and Southern Medical University (formerly known as the First Military Medical University). Despite his collaboration with the Chinese military, he received research grants totaling over $20 million from NIAID under Dr. Fauci's leadership between 1997 and 2016.

Professor Jiang, a member of China's renowned Thousand Talents Plan, actively collaborated with PLA scientists on numerous scientific papers supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the First Military Medical University, and the AMMS. However, concerns have been raised regarding the nature of these collaborations, as a 2020 FBI report indicates that such talent recruitment plans “usually involve undisclosed and illegal transfers of information, technology, or intellectual property detrimental to U.S. institutions.”

Together with Dr. Zhou Yusen, a distinguished PLA virologist and fellow AMMS alumnus, Professor Jiang co-invented multiple U.S. patents and published numerous scientific papers on SARS and MERS coronaviruses, often with the support of NIAID funds. Dr. Yusen, the former director of the PLA's AMMS Laboratory of Pathogen and Biosecurity at the Beijing Institute of Microbiology and Epidemiology, filed the world's first patent application for a COVID-19 vaccine in China on February 24, 2020, just a month after the country acknowledged human-to-human transmission.

This discovery raises suspicions that the Chinese military may have been working on a vaccine even before officially notifying the World Health Organization about the outbreak.

Interestingly, concerns surrounding the origins of the COVID-19 virus intensify when examining the furin cleavage site. Dr. Richard Ebright, a respected molecular biologist, and laboratory director, highlights the unique nature of the furin cleavage, stating that:

“SARS-CoV-2 is the only member of the SARS-related betacoronavirus group that contains a furin cleavage site. The SARS-CoV-2 furin cleavage site exhibits unusual codon usage, and the SARS-CoV-2 furin cleavage site is located at a position that previously has been used to engineer coronaviruses having enhanced infectivity.”

Further compounding the intrigue, Dr. David Baltimore, a renowned US virologist and co-discoverer of reverse transcriptase, expresses his belief that the furin cleavage indicates a laboratory origin for the virus, stating, “When I first saw the furin cleavage site in the viral sequence, with its arginine codons, I said to my wife it was the smoking gun for the origin of the virus.”

With an esteemed career, a Nobel Prize, and extensive scientific expertise, Dr. Baltimore's observations carry significant weight. Of additional concern is Professor Jiang's expertise in inserting furin cleavage sites into coronaviruses.

Moreover, Professor Jiang and Dr. Lanying Du, another prominent Chinese virologist funded by Dr. Fauci and Dr. Hotez’s R01AI098775 grant, have collaborated on various scientific papers with the PLA’s AMMS and the Wuhan Institute of Virology. The untimely death of Dr. Yusen, who fell from the roof of the Wuhan Institute of Virology within three months of filing the patent, further fuels suspicions surrounding the origins of COVID-19.

Dr. Du, the widow of Dr. Yusen, published at the PLA’s AMMS before migrating to the United States, where she joined Professor Jiang at the New York Blood Center’s Lindsley F. Kimball Research Institute. Remarkably, a U.S. Senate report reveals that the data referenced in Dr. Yusen's patent could not have been generated as quickly as claimed, suggesting that he and his team may have started developing a COVID vaccine as early as November 2019.

Furthermore, at least five publications funded by Dr. Fauci and Dr. Hotez's grant list Dr. Zhou Yusen, a People’s Liberation Army officer central to the COVID-19 origin controversy at the Wuhan lab, as a co-author. These findings raise concerns about the connections between Dr. Fauci, Dr. Hotez, Dr. Jiang, Dr. Du, Dr. Yusen, and the Chinese military scientists potentially involved in the origin of COVID-19.

Additionally, both Professor Jiang and Dr. Du have published scientific research for the AMMS, which was added to the U.S. government’s Foreign Entity Blacklist in 2021 due to its use of “biotechnology processes to support Chinese military end uses.” Dr. Hotez's involvement in this complex situation becomes evident when examining his subcontracted funding for these scientists connected to the People's Liberation Army and the Wuhan Institute of Virology, particularly in the field of artificially inserting furin cleavage sites into coronaviruses.

During a February 2021 interview, Dr. Hotez discussed their collaboration, stating, "About ten years ago, we got approached by a group at the New York Blood Center led by Shibo Jiang and Lanying Du that had a pretty good idea for coronavirus vaccines."

Notably, in 2013, Professor Shibo Jiang, along with his Chinese military colleagues at the First Military Medical University, demonstrated the artificial insertion of a furin cleavage site similar to the one present in the COVID-19 virus. Dr. Lanying Du served as the editor for this study, which received funding from the Chinese government, while Professor Jiang and Dr. Du also separately received funding from Dr. Fauci and Dr. Hotez.

A study published by Dr. Shibo Jiang, Dr. Lanying Du, Dr. Shi Zhengli, and Dr. Ralph Baric, an American scientist considered a pioneer in gain-of-function research on coronaviruses, demonstrated the introduction of a human protease cleavage site into the spike protein of coronaviruses, enabling cross-species transmission to humans. Notably, this aligns precisely with the furin cleavage site found in the S1/S2 junction of SARS-CoV-2.

While Dr. Hotez criticizes congressional hearings on the origins of COVID-19, stating that they are “inviting fringe elements to testify and promote outlandish conspiracy theories,” even warning that investigation will “undermine the fabric of science in America,” it is crucial to examine the mounting connections between Dr. Hotez, Dr. Fauci, Dr. Jiang, Dr. Du, and Dr. Yusen with Chinese military scientists, the Wuhan Institute of Virology, and the suspicious furin cleavage site. This evidence demands a thorough investigation to uncover the truth about the origins of the COVID-19 virus, a truth that holds profound implications for people worldwide.

Emails from the Biden laptop shed light on Burisma’s opening of a Maltese bank account for Hunter Biden in the spring of 2016. This newly discovered development coincides with the allegations made by an FBI source, suggesting that Mykola Zlochevsky, the founder of Burisma Holdings, allegedly paid a $5 million bribe each to then-Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden.

In 2014, Ukraine initiated criminal cases against Zlochevsky and Burisma, the company where Hunter Biden held a board position and received substantial compensation. Zlochevsky, who faced investigations for money laundering and public corruption, allegedly employed the Vice President's son to leverage his political influence in order to halt the investigations.

According to the FBI whistleblower document, the pay-for-play scheme is outlined, with Zlochevsky purportedly safeguarding 17 audio recordings of conversations with the Bidens as an "insurance policy." Among these recordings are two alleged conversations with then-Vice President Biden himself.

In 2018, Joe Biden proudly claimed that he pressured Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko into firing Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin, who was conducting an investigation into the Ukrainian energy company where his son was a board member. Biden accomplished this by leveraging the threat of withholding a $1 billion US loan guarantee during his trip to Kyiv in December 2015.

During a speech at the Council on Foreign Relations, Biden infamously declared, "I looked at them and said: I'm leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you're not getting the money." He added, "Well, son of a bitch. He got fired."

Viktor Shokin has stated that at the time of his termination in March 2016, he had formulated "specific plans" to investigate Burisma, which “included interrogations and other crime-investigation procedures into all members of the executive board, including Hunter Biden.”

In May 2016, Burisma executive Vadym Pozharskyi informed Hunter Biden via a series of emails about the opening of a Maltese bank account. Pozharskyi requested the documentation required for the account opening, including a copy of Hunter's passport, a bank reference letter, and a utility bill serving as proof of his residential address.

Hunter responded by stating, "We are working on this - I was traveling with my dad and had my passport abroad last week."

In the subsequent weeks, Hunter Biden's assistant, Joan Mayer, engaged in email correspondence with Vadym Pozharskyi, reportedly the third-ranking executive at Burisma. During these exchanges, Mayer provided copies of Hunter's passport, a utility bill, and a bank reference letter, as requested.

On May 13, 2016, Mayer sought clarification on the requirements for a "certified declaration of source wealth." She suggested providing a letter from Hunter's corporation, Owasco, to confirm his annual salary, asking, “Is that what the bank is looking for?”

On the same day, a Burisma attorney sent an email to Hunter, sharing the address and swift code of Satabank, a Maltese bank that would be shuttered for violating money laundering laws in 2018.

A few days later, Hunter's assistant sent "Hunter's tax ID number and signature" to the Burisma executive, who responded with a confirmation: "All received!"

In 2018, Satabank was shut down by authorities due to significant deficiencies in its anti-money laundering controls following a joint inspection by Maltese financial regulators.

As a result, the Malta Financial Services Authority froze all 12,000 accounts of Satabank in 2019, leading to law enforcement launching investigations into suspicious transactions potentially associated with activities such as fuel smuggling, drug trafficking, and trade with sanctioned countries.

Auditors disclosed in 2020 that nearly €11 billion worth of transactions processed through Satabank were flagged as suspicious.

Vadym Pozharskyi facilitated the establishment of the Maltese bank account for Hunter Biden a year after Hunter introduced his father to the Burisma executive.

In a now-infamous email, Pozharskyi revealed that Hunter Biden and his business partner Devon Archer operated as unregistered foreign lobbyists by organizing a private dinner with then-Vice President Joe Biden at Cafe Milano in D.C.

In a previous email, Pozharskyi requested advice from Hunter on leveraging his influence to benefit the company, asking for guidance on how to counter perceived politically motivated actions against Burisma.

“We urgently need your advice on how you could use your influence to convey a message / signal, etc. to stop what we consider to be politically motivated actions,” Pozharskyi wrote.

In 2020, Ukrainian officials seized a $6 million cash bribe linked to Mykola Zlochevsky. The bribe, consisting of $100 bills wrapped in rubber bands and held in plastic bags, aimed to stop an investigation into the founder of Burisma Holdings.

Vadym Pozharskyi, the Burisma executive, requested that Hunter Biden send his passport, bank letter, and utility bill to Pierre Grech Pillow at Obelisk Auctions Gallery in Attard, Malta, according to emails found on Hunter Biden’s laptop.

In 2020, Pierre Grech Pillow, the owner of the Maltese auction house, was arrested and charged with "laundering millions of euros." The arrest followed a police investigation into a suspicious sale of an oil rig linked to Burisma Holdings.

In summary, the bank where Burisma opened an account for Hunter Biden was shut down for money laundering concerns. The auction house owner, whom Burisma had asked Hunter Biden to send his banking documents to, was later arrested for alleged money laundering related to Burisma’s funds. All of these events occurred in a country known for money laundering activities.

Senator Chuck Grassley delivered a speech on the Senate floor on Monday criticizing the FBI for releasing a redacted version of the unclassified memo on the same day that the Department of Justice indicted former President Donald Trump. Grassley accused the Biden Justice Department of applying different standards of justice.

“Based on the facts known to Congress and the public, it's clear that the Justice Department and FBI will use every resource to investigate candidate Trump, President Trump, and former President Trump,” the senator stated. He continued to say the agencies haven't had the “same laser focus” on the Biden family.

The FBI source mentioned that Zlochevsky claimed it would take a decade to unravel the complex money trail, though it's unlikely that the Burisma executive anticipated Hunter Biden leaving his laptop at a repair shop, thus exposing his deputy's involvement in setting up the Maltese bank account.

Unfortunately, evidence from the 2019 Horowitz Inspector General Report and the recently published Durham Report indicates that the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Justice are highly corrupt institutions tasked with concealing the political establishment’s crimes while targeting its political opposition.

The Center for Toxicology and Environmental Health (CTEH), a private contractor hired by Norfolk Southern to test water, soil, and air quality in East Palestine, Ohio, has a history of minimizing the effects of environmental disasters to satisfy its corporate employers, according to critics.

While the Arkansas-based firm provides consulting services to various industries, it is known for performing toxicology monitoring for the oil and gas industry following health and safety incidents.

After a million gallons of oil spilled on a Louisiana town in 2005, after a flood of toxic coal ash smothered central Tennessee in 2008, and after defective Chinese drywall began plaguing Florida homeowners, CTEH was on the scene — saying everything was fine.

In each of these cases, the toxicology firm was alleged to be supplying the data its employers wanted while falsely assuring the public that they were safe from harm.

The company’s work for BP in the wake of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in 2010, for example, drew accusations of the “fox guarding the chicken coop” from the New York Times and “conflicts of interest” from Democrats in Congress.

As BP continues to claim that the leaking oil has caused "no significant exposures," despite the hospitalization of several workers and the sparse release of test data, these observers of CTEH's work say the firm has a vested interest in finding a clean bill of health to satisfy its corporate employer.

"It's essentially the fox guarding the chicken coop," said Nicholas Cheremisinoff, a former Exxon chemical engineer who now consults on pollution prevention. "There is a huge incentive for them to under-report" the size of the spill, Cheremisinoff added, and "the same thing applies on the health and safety side."

Another toxicologist familiar with CTEH, who requested anonymity to avoid retribution from the firm, described its chemical studies as designed to meet the goals of its clients. "They're paid to say everything's OK," this source said. "Their work product is, basically, they find the least protective rules and regulations and rely on those."

Matt Landon, a staff member at the anti-mountaintop removal mining group United Mountain Defense, encountered CTEH in the wake of the 2008 breach in a coal ash dam run by the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). Landon said his group began its own air monitoring after finding CTEH employees installing low-volume monitors that community advocates believed were not strong enough to measure air quality in compliance with EPA standards.

"People were getting sick," Landon recalled, "eyes swelling up, rashes, ear aches, wedding bands tarnishing. They said it was taking them time to get high-volume monitors out there."

In 2010, Rep. Lois Capps (D-Calif.) and Rep. Peter Welch (D-Vt.) called for BP to end its contract with CTEH. The lawmakers alleged that CTEH had a history of botched data collection methods and supplying insufficient data to serve the corporate interests of its employers rather than protecting public health.

They cited the company's inaccurate monitoring procedures during an air quality survey following the 2008 coal ash spill in Tennessee, bad sampling techniques used to evaluate soil contamination at a 2005 refinery spill in Louisiana, and a controversial analysis of toxic drywall in 2006.

“When commissioned by Knauf Plasterboard Tianjin to test their Chinese drywall for toxicity, CTEH concluded that it was not toxic. However, the Consumer Product Safety Commission found it to be the top “problem drywall” for hydrogen sulfide contamination,” the lawmakers explained.

Knauf Plasterboard later settled a class-action lawsuit by agreeing to pay between $600 million and $1 billion to homeowners affected by the hazardous material.

“Enlisting CTEH—a company with a long history of questionable practices—is just another indication that BP is more concerned about their own bottom line than the public’s health,” the lawmakers concluded. “The choice of CTEH to perform critical toxicology functions is yet another misstep at the expense of public health.”

Katlyn Schwarzwaelder, a Doberman kennel owner in East Palestine, Ohio, joined the Glenn Beck show yesterday and said that four of her dogs were projectile vomiting, her eyes and throat get itchy and burn when she visits her home, and she plans to abandon East Palestine forever because of her long-term health concerns.

Schwarzwaelder also described an interaction with a CTEH contractor and an EPA official that came to test the air quality at her home:

We were told by Norfolk personnel that the agency coming to our homes to test was from independent laboratories. Now, what I can tell you first hand is that we had a gentleman from CTEH, which is the so-called independent laboratory, we had spoken to him very informally, and he said, “we follow around the railroad when they make mistakes, and they are happy to have us here.” 

When CTEH came to our facility to test our air, they had not offered water services at that point in time; they handed me a contract that essentially said that I needed to hold Norfolk, their affiliates, including CTEH, harmless of any future liabilities.

I didn't sign it, but unfortunately, 340 other residents did sign it. That's where my heart just breaks for these people because we don't know the long-term repercussions of what these chemicals can do in our air to our environment to our businesses and they've signed their rights away in the hopes that they are getting help and the right answers from these organizations.

CTEH the affiliate of Norfolk that came to test the air was followed by the EPA. We asked if the EPA can come into our kennel and can they test themselves because they are a government organization that has the ability and they have the testing equipment with them and the answer was absolutely not.

It is concerning to hear that 340 residents affected by the Norfolk Southern train crash in East Palestine, Ohio, may have already signed settlement agreements that waive their legal rights. Residents should seek legal advice before signing any contracts to ensure that they receive proper compensation for any damages or losses they have suffered.

In a similar 2005 incident, a Norfolk Southern train crashed and spilled toxic chemicals in Graniteville, South Carolina, causing 5,400 residents to evacuate their homes. Residents who immediately accepted compensation and signed settlement agreements with Norfolk Southern forfeited their right to any further damages.

It is also concerning to hear that the EPA is not testing homes and businesses and instead recommending residents sign contracts with CTEH, a consulting firm hired by Norfolk Southern with a controversial reputation.

Residents affected by the Norfolk Southern train crash deserve an independent testing company that does not have a track record of downplaying the impact of environmental disasters to cater to the interests of their corporate employers. Otherwise, it would be like having the proverbial "fox guarding the chicken coop."

Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, recently made a bold move by releasing the Twitter Files, which detail how the social media platform coordinated with federal law enforcement to silence voices that didn’t align with the company’s far-left agenda.

What’s been missing from much of this analysis is the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) role in this censorship through a consortium called the Election Integrity Partnership (EIP), made up of four organizations: the Stanford Internet Observatory (SIO), the University of Washington’s Center for an Informed Public, the Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensic Research Lab, and Graphika, a social media analytics company.

The EIP published a report on its censorship of the 2020 election, The Long Fuse: Misinformation and the 2020 Election, which describes how the private-public censorship consortium was formed in the summer of 2020 to “monitor and correct election mis- and disinformation.”

This censorship network partnered with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), a branch of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the State Department’s Global Engagement Center (GEC), and the DHS-backed Elections Infrastructure Information Sharing and Analysis Center (ISAC) during the 2020 election cycle and operated as technocratic thought police forwarding tickets of "mis- and disinformation" to social media companies.

The EIP built communication portals with Big Tech platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Google, TikTok, Reddit, and Discord; and liberal groups NAACP, Common Cause, the Democratic National Committee, and Harvard's Defending Digital Democracy Project, cofounded by former Hillary Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook, throughout the 2020 and 2022 election cycles, to censor domestic “mis- and disinformation.”

They had about 120 analysts monitoring social media for 20 hours a day, forwarding tickets of misinformation to be censored, and this censorship pivoted to covid vaccines when they started the Virality Project in Feb. 2021.

A report from the Foundation for Freedom Online (FFO), a non-profit founded by Mike Benz, entitled DHS Censorship Agency Had Strange First Mission: Banning Speech That Casts Doubt On ‘Red Mirage, Blue Shift’ Election Events details this government speech control machine and its ability to control the narrative during the 2020 election:

Based on our investigation, below are seven bottom-line figures summarizing the scope of censorship carried out by DHS speech control partners, as compiled from their own reports and videos:

• 22 Million tweets labeled “misinformation” on Twitter;

• 859 Million tweets collected in databases for “misinformation” analysis;

• 120 analysts monitoring social media “misinformation” in up to 20-hour shifts;

• 15 tech platforms monitored for “misinformation” often in real-time;

• <1 hour average response time between government partners and tech platforms;

• Dozens of “misinformation narratives” targeted for platform-wide throttling; and

• Hundreds of millions of individual Facebook posts, YouTube videos, TikToks, and tweets impacted, due to “misinformation” Terms of Service policy changes that DHS partners openly plotted and bragged tech companies would never have done without DHS partner insistence and “huge regulatory pressure” from government.

In short, CISA outsourced censorship to a web of like-minded private sector and civil society partners to circumvent unclear legal authorities and violations of the First Amendment.

Formed in 2018, CISA’s stated mission was to protect America from cybersecurity threats from hostile foreign countries, but that mission was quickly and quietly corrupted when the branch of DHS designated foreign and then domestic disinformation as attacks on critical infrastructure.

“One could argue we’re in the business of critical infrastructure, and the most critical infrastructure is our cognitive infrastructure, so building that resilience to misinformation and disinformation, I think, is incredibly important,” Jen Easterly, Biden’s CISA said.

In other words, any US citizen spreading what the government deemed “misinformation or disinformation” was now carrying out a cyber attack on critical US infrastructure.

This leftist establishment-aligned censorship consortium flagged then-President Donald Trump, the highest elected official in the US government, as one of its top “mis- and disinformation” spreaders.

The EIP also targeted news outlets, including Breitbart News, Fox News, Just The News, the New York Post, and the Epoch Times, as well as the social media accounts of prominent conservatives James Woods, Charlie Kirk, Tom Fitton, Jack Posobiec, James O’Keefe, and the President’s sons, Donald Trump Jr and Eric Trump, amongst others.

Every single "repeat spreader of election misinformation" cited in the EIP’s report was aligned with the political right:

“The channels found to be repeat spreaders of false and misleading narratives through YouTube look similar to the repeat spreaders on Twitter—right-wing influencers, hyperpartisan media outlets such as One America News Network (OANN) and The Gateway Pundit, political groups supportive of President Trump such as Project Veritas, and President Trump himself,” the EIP authors explained.

This speech control network also flagged popular populist-right YouTube channels, including Steven Crowder, BlazeTV, Judicial Watch, CDMedia, and even the GOP War Room, as “mis- and disinformation” spreaders.

“The entire countering Russian disinformation on social media apparatus that had been constructed before July 2019 to censor, throttle and identify foreign disinformation was quietly, but entirely, pivoted to focus inward on domestic disinformation,” said Mike Benz, the founder of Foundation for Freedom Online (FFO).

“DHS insiders' collective justification, without uttering a peep about the switch's revolutionary implications, was that “domestic disinformation” was now a greater “cyber threat to elections” than falsehoods flowing from foreign interference,” Benz continued.

“So CISA's self-invented censorship powers against “foreign disinformation” went from being pointed outward against supposed Russian bot accounts to being pointed inwards at tens of millions of US citizens simply talking lawfully about their elections,” he said.

“The main character in the CISA side of this story is its then-director, Chris Krebs,” Benz explained.

Benz’s foundation illustrates this swap through a supercut of DHS censorship network partners switching from a “foreign” to a “domestic” predicate for censorship between the 2016 election and the 2020 election:

To better understand the intent of this government censorship operation, the Foundation for Freedom Online (FFO) report lists examples of Chris Krebs’ political bias coupled with his affinity for domestic speech control:

• Krebs said in April 2022 that the Hunter Biden laptop still looked like Russian disinformation and that Krebs didn't care whether it was or wasn't Russian disinformation; the important positive thing, he stressed, was that news media did not cover the laptop during the 2020 election cycle.

• Krebs, who administered the federal side of the 2020 election after DHS effectively nationalized election infrastructure on January 6, 2017, said that every lawyer who represented conservative clients on claims concerning 2020 election irregularities should be permanently disbarred and banned from legal practice for life.

• Krebs said he hopes conservative media outlets are bankrupted and forced to pay billions in damages in the ongoing lawsuit by Dominion Voting Systems. He stressed the same fate should apply to anyone in the news media who questioned US voting machines during the 2020 election, which he helped administer.

• Krebs said he personally canceled his DirecTV subscription in protest of conservative-leaning OANN having been allowed to have a platform on cable.

• Krebs said that the sitting President in 2020, Donald Trump, was a national security threat because he espoused domestic “disinformation.”

• Krebs said he feels equally passionate about the need to censor critics of government Covid-19 protocols as he does about censoring critics of government election administration issues.

• Krebs has repeatedly said on record that “misinformation” is the single biggest threat to election security. Note that Kreb's role in government was not supposed to be as arbiter of truth; he was supposed to be a cybersecurity expert from Microsoft. Yet US domestic citizen opinions on social media became, in Kreb's estimate, the top “cyber” security threat facing the US, replacing foreign hacking and malware.

“In total, the National Science Foundation (NSF) spent $38.8 million on government grants and contracts to combat “misinformation” since the start of the Biden administration,” according to the Foundation for Freedom Online.

“64 NSF grants totaling $31.8 million were given to 42 colleges and universities to research the science of stopping viral ideas,” Mike Benz said. “Some grants explicitly target “populist politicians” and “populist communications” to scientifically determine how best to counter populist narratives.”

“EIP uses a system where each misinformation incident is classified as part of a specific larger misinformation narrative,” Benz continued. “EIP then turns around and pressures social media representatives to censor entire narratives at scale by using the network maps and narrative analysis that the EIP compiles and shares with social media companies.”

Krebs and the EIP’s decision to completely censor the narrative around voting machine vulnerabilities fails to acknowledge that congressional members aligned with the left, including Sen. Amy Klobuchar, Sen. Ron Wyden, and Sen. Kamala Harris, among numerous computer science professors and election security experts, spent the last 4-years warning the American people that computerized voting systems are often connected to the internet, compromised, and vulnerable to hackers.

In effect, the left was allowed to discuss the vulnerabilties of voting machines after the 2016 election and the right was censored for discussing those very same vulnerabilities after the 2020 election.

The EIP created four categories of “mis- and disinformation” to target; fraud, procedural interference, participation interference, and delegitimization.

Delegitimization, the category most censored, accounted for 72% of the EIP's censorship tickets and targeted over 99% of the post throttled by narrative.

“This is because the EIP-rigged definition of “delegitimization” – defined to mean any speech that “casts doubt” on any kind of election process, outcome, or integrity issues — made all conservative and populist criticism of the administration of the election pre-banned at the narrative level, five months in advance of Election Day,” Benz explained.

In a twist of fate, those most responsible for delegitimizing the 2016 election would go on to silence their political opponents from questioning the legitimacy of the 2020 election.

“The gall to mass censor “delegitimization,” coming from this crowd, is truly something to behold. The entire EIP network consisted of professional delegitimizers of the 2016 election who dedicated their entire careers to promoting the (unsubstantiated) theory that Russia had stolen the 2016 election,” Benz continued.

“Alex Stamos, Renee DiResta, Kate Starbird, the entire Graphika team, and the DFR lab were all personally the foremost tips of the spears that created a narrative that the sitting United States President from 2016-2020 was functionally “illegitimate” because of unfounded rumors about Russiagate that turned out later not to be true,” he said.

In yet another display of the EIP’s political bias, this government-backed censorship network sided with the left six months before the 2020 election and mass-censored any delegitimization of vote-by-mail as misinformation and disinformation.

The EIP aligned with one party’s candidate when the censorship network targeted speech casting doubt on mail-in ballots as “mis- and disinformation” despite evidence that mail-in ballots are not as secure as in-person voting.

The 2005 bipartisan Federal Election Reform Commission report chaired by former President Jimmy Carter concluded, "Absentee ballots remain the largest source of potential voter fraud.”

Indeed, previous examples of mail-in ballot fraud caused the New York Times to write in 2012, "all the evidence of stolen elections involves absentee ballots," and Slate to write in 2016, "the only voting fraud schemes with the potential to actually swing elections involved mail-in ballots."

In Europe, 74 percent of nations ban mail-in ballots for citizens living inside their country. Brazil, Russia, Israel, Mexico, and a host of additional developed nations have also banned mail-in voting due to security concerns.

Regardless of your opinion on voting machines or mail-in voting, it’s clear that this public-private censorship network conspired with big tech and big government to censor one side of the discussion.

In a further shocking example of mission creep, the security state’s censorship by proxy operation expanded from its original focus on elections to include covid-19 vaccine mis- and disinformation.

In Feb. 2021, the Virality Project was launched, a collaboration between the four EIP partners that added the National Conference on Citizenship (NCoC)’s Algorithmic Transparency Institute, New York University’s Center for Social Media and Politics, and Tandon School of Engineering.

Their collaboration culminated in a Feb. 2022 report, Memes, Magnets and Microchips: Narrative dynamics around COVID-19 vaccines, detailing how the censorship network tracked, documented, and censored alleged vaccine mis- and disinformation.

The Virality Project partnered with federal government agencies, most notably the Office of the Surgeon General, Department of Health and Human Services, and the CDC, public health partners such as the American Academy of Pediatrics, and Facebook (including Instagram), Twitter, Google (including YouTube), TikTok, Medium, and Pinterest.

Their analysts monitored “keyword-based queries and cluster-based community lists of key public figures and influencers” on all of the Big Tech platforms and alternative platforms, such as Gab, Parler, Telegram, Rumble, and Gettr.

They censored reports of post-vaccination deaths and injuries, arguments against vaccine mandates or passports, anything that questioned the safety, efficacy, or necessity of vaccines, and even what they considered conspiracy theories such as pharmaceutical industry profit was the motivation behind the vaccine campaign.

The report lists so-called anti-vaccine influencers, pseudomedical influencers, medical freedom influencers, right-leaning political influencers, and conspiracy theory influencers, including Robert F. Kennedy Jr, Del Bigtree, Dr. Robert Malone, Dr. Peter McCullough, Dr. Judy Mikovits, US. Joseph Mercola, Alex Berenson, Erin Elizabeth, Naomi Wolf, Michael Yeadon, Tucker Carlson, Dr. Sherri Tenpenny, Dr. Simone Gold, Dr. Dolores Cahill, Dr. Stella Immanuel, Candace Owens, Sen. Ron Johnson, and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, among others.

The Virality Project authors censored entire narratives based on debatably false premises:

• “The idea that natural immunity from infection is superior to immunity from vaccination became a political talking point raised repeatedly by right-leaning political influencers, despite inconclusive scientific evidence.”

• Maddie de Garay, a 12-year-old girl in the Pfizer children’s vaccine trial, went from being healthy to paralyzed in a wheelchair and eating from a feeding tube 12 hours after her second dose was not injured by the Pfizer vaccine.

• The covid-19 response, which denied early treatment to patients, and the subsequent vaccine rollout were not “state-imposed oppression designed to enrich pharmaceutical companies and erode American freedoms.”

• There are no warning signs about these mRNA vaccines in VAERS, and from other injury databases outside the United States, such as the UK’s Yellow Card reporting site, EudraVigilance (used in the European Economic Area), and the World Health Organization’s VigiAccess.

So who are these unelected bureaucrats who get to play 'judge, jury, and executioner' and control the thoughts of millions of Americans?

Stanford Internet Observatory: Alex Stamos

After being fired by President Trump, Krebs started a private consulting firm with former Facebook executive Alex Stamos.

Stamos is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a member of the Aspen Institute’s Cyber Security Task Force, the director of the Stanford Internet Observatory (SIO), and the founder of the EIP censorship network Krebs established while at CISA.

“Before receiving a $3 million government grant from the Biden Administration in 2021 after censoring the Biden Administration's political opposition in 2020, SIO was originally funded by private foundations such as Craig Newmark Philanthropies, the Omidyar Network, and the Charles Koch Foundation,” Mike Benz explained.

Stamos momentarily dropped the veil of nonpartisanship when he compared “over half of the Republicans in Congress” to the terrorist network ISIS.

The unelected CISA censorship czar called on Verizon, AT&T, and Comcast to block OANN and Newsmax from their airwaves and discussed other potential ways to limit the reach of “conservative influencers.”

“We have to turn down the capability of these conservative influencers to reach these huge audiences,” Stamos told CNN’s, Brian Stelter.

“There are people on YouTube, for example, that have a larger audience than daytime CNN, and they are extremely radical and pushing extremely radical views,” he said.

University of Washington’s Center for an Informed Public: Kate Starbird

Kate Starbird is the head of CISA’s “disinformation” advisor subcommittee and the University of Washington’s Center for an Informed Public director.

US government grants have funded her work on domestic censorship since 2013.

“Russian propaganda (with an assist from Bannon and alt-right media) has become the President of the United States’ ideology,” Kate Starbird wrote in a 2018 Twitter post. “And he’s spreading it to his masses.”

In October 2018, Starbird told her Facebook followers to vote Democrat to “begin to hold this President and his friends/family accountable for things like corruption and collusion; that it will help stop his racist, anti-LGBT agenda from adding to the damage already done.”

Starbird claimed that the then-president’s “nationalism” didn’t stand for “patriotism” but instead stood for “white supremacy and ethno-nationalism.”

“If we cannot stop it [fascism and white nationalism] here, it won’t be stopped,” she explained.

“We are facing a wholly different kind of threat.”

“Starbird sits on CISA's disinformation advisory panel directly with Vijaya Gadde, the recently fired top lawyer at Twitter who famously promoted censorship of the hashtag “#LearnToCode” on Joe Rogan's podcast in March 2019, led the internal Twitter decision to ban President Trump's Twitter account in January 2021, and vociferously opposed Elon Musk's proposal to roll back Twitter censorship policies,” Mike Benz said.

“The Biden Administration provided Kate Starbird's UW disinformation lab with a $3 million government grant (jointly with Stanford) just months after Starbird's lab helped censor the Biden Administration's political adversary during the 2020 election,” he continued.

“In late 2016, our research began to see connections between conspiracy theorizing, state-sponsored disinformation (specifically from Russia), and content criticizing globalism and advocating for nationalism,” Starbird claimed in another Facebook post.

“To see this ideology move from fringe to mainstream, with the help of alt-right media and active disinformation campaigns (both foreign and domestic), is truly frightening,” Starbird concluded.

Starbird, a liberal university professor, insulated from working-class Americans, wrote off criticism of “globalism” as “state-sponsored disinformation (specifically from Russia).”

In reality, many American citizens who advocate against global governance are upset with the discredited neoconservative and neoliberal political establishment that lied the populace into decades of endless wars, disastrous international trade agreements like NAFTA and WTO, which closed down 70,000 factories and destroyed the US manufacturing base, and a ruling class that is willing to send $100 billion to defend Ukraine’s border while refusing to spend $5 billion to secure the US border.

Starbird, as a member of the managerial class, is tasked with intellectualizing elaborate ways to justify censoring populist criticism of the corrupt political establishment, failed institutions, and disastrous policy decisions that have stagnated working-class incomes since the 1970s, created the greatest wealth inequality since the 1930s, and led to record inflation, supply chain shortages, and homelessness.

Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensic Research Lab: Graham Brookie

Graham Brookie is the figure who led the Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensic Research Lab and a previous Obama White House National Security Council member.

The Atlantic Council is a NATO think-tank that boasts “seven living CIA directors - Michael Hayden, James Woolsey, Leon Panetta, David Petraeus, Michael Morrell, William Webster & Robert Gates - on the board of the group deputized by DHS to censor your opinions about mail-in ballots during the 2020 election cycle,” Mike Benz explained.

Brookie, a government-funded disinformation expert, dedicated much of his time during President Trump’s years in the White House to promoting the false narrative that the President of the United States was a Russian agent controlled by Vladimir Putin.

“There's no doubt that Donald Trump is the largest spreader of specific and important types of misinformation today, especially about coronavirus, or COVID-19,” Brookie said during a PBS interview weeks before the 2020 election.

In October 2020, Brookie would call the Hunter Biden laptop story “laundered unverified misinfo.”

At the same time, Leon Panetta and Michael Hayden, two of his Atlantic Council partners, signed an infamous disinformation letter with 49 other former US intelligence officials that spread the lie that the Biden laptop was “Russian disinformation.”

When the then-Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe stated that the Biden laptop story was legitimate and not “Russian disinfo,” Brookie questioned Ratcliffe’s “credibility” and accused him of “politicizing intel.”

Incredibly, the Atlantic Council’s disinformation lab, tasked by the US government to censor the 2020 election, publicly tweeted its director’s disdain for the President days before the 2020 election.

Ben Nimmo leads the censorship role at Graphika and is a Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council’s DFR Lab.

“Donald Trump is right that someone is trying to rig the US election, but it is not Hillary Clinton: it is the Kremlin, and Trump is an accomplice, whether or not he realizes it,” Nimmo, a former NATO press officer, wrote in November 2016.

“Trump has parroted at least one allegation which began in the Kremlin media. He has benefited from Kremlin-linked hackers, and there are hints that his online support is being influenced by Russian-linked social media accounts,” he continued.

“In 2021, the year after Graphika helped censor the 2020 election for the Biden Administration, Graphika was rewarded with nearly $5 million in government grants from the Pentagon – all to facilitate more censorship work,” Mike Benz explained.

In June 2019, at an Atlantic Council DFR Lab conference, Nimmo trained a roomful of international journalists on how to spot “disinformation” in tweets by then-President Donald Trump and in ads promoting Brexit.

The Foundation for Freedom Online report details how this government censorship network was hyper-targeted against one specific side. Still, it gets much more severe once you understand the scale of censorship and how entire narratives were systemically silenced:

“EIP, in its own report, say they classified 22 million tweets (21,897,364 individual posts, to be precise) as each comprising unique “misinformation incidents” during the four-month period between August 15, 2020 and December 12, 2020.”

To get this 22 million “misinformation” number, EIP created a bucket of 859 million tweets discussing “misinformation narratives”, and then applied a crude set of subjective inferences to conclude that 22 million tweets out of that 859 million total could be confidently classified as endorsing a banned “misinformation narrative.”

EIP uses a system where each “misinformation incident” is classified as part of a specific larger “misinformation narrative”. EIP then turns around and pressures social media representatives to censor entire narratives at scale by using the network maps and narrative analysis that EIP compiles shares with social media companies.

This authoritarian censorship network that operates in a constellation of NATO, DHS, and State Department-funded NGOs and civil society groups can not be allowed to censor inconvenient truths, facts, and narratives under the guise of protecting the public from so-called misinformation.

Many of these censorship proponents were the most prolific spreaders of the false narrative that President Donald Trump was a secret agent of the Kremlin.

After spending years delegitimizing the 2016 election, this censorship consortium received millions from the US government to silence the American people who questioned the legitimacy of the 2020 and 2022 elections.

In an age where social media platforms have become the number one source of news, freedom of speech online, must be protected at all costs.

Even Twitter’s new owner, Elon Musk, realizes that the Department of Homeland Security is barrelling down a slippery slope when it circumvents the First Amendment and outsources censorship to a government-funded private network of totalitarian thought police.

Earlier this month, the head of the EIP, Alex Stamos, asked Elon Musk for “transparency” regarding the Tesla CEO tweeting, “the rules were enforced against the right, but not against the left.”

Musk responded to the CISA censorship czar, “You operate a propaganda platform.”

President Joe Biden has released Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout, known as “The Merchant of Death,” from prison after attending a memorial for “victims of gun violence in America.”

Bout has been convicted of several crimes related to his illegal arms trafficking activities. Bout, believed to have supplied weapons to some of the world's most dangerous regimes and rebel groups, was arrested in Thailand in 2008 and extradited to the United States in 2010.

Bout, a former Soviet military officer, was serving a 25-year prison sentence in the United States on charges of conspiring to kill Americans, acquiring and exporting anti-aircraft missiles, and providing material support to a terrorist organization.

As one of the most notorious figures in the global arms trade, he became the inspiration behind the Nicholas Cage Character in the movie "Lord of War."

Bout's criminal activities date back to the 1990s when he established a network of companies specializing in procuring and transporting weapons.

Using his connections with corrupt officials and military leaders, Bout could obtain large quantities of weapons from Eastern European countries and transport them to conflict zones worldwide.

By the late 1990s, U.N. reports documented evidence of Mr. Bout supplying arms to rebel forces in Sudan, Rwanda, the Congo, Angola, and Sierra Leone, all in defiance of U.N. embargos.

Witney Schneidman, an African expert in the U.S. State Department who tracked Mr. Bout's activities, told the BBC that Mr. Bout would often supply weapons to both sides of the same conflict.

Among other things, Bout has been accused of providing weapons to the Taliban in Afghanistan, the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), and the Lord's Resistance Army in Uganda.

He has also been linked to arms shipments to Iraq and Liberia, both of which were under international arms embargos at the time.

Bout's illegal arms trafficking activities have resulted in thousands of deaths and contributed to the instability and violence in many regions of the world.

His actions have been condemned by governments and human rights organizations worldwide and have made him a target of international sanctions and law enforcement efforts.

Mike Braun, the former chief of operations for the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, told 60 Minutes in 2010 that "Viktor Bout, in my eyes, is one of the most dangerous men on the face of the Earth."

Braun told 60 Minutes, "Bout first "exploded" on the scene in war-torn West Africa in the late 1980s, elevating bloody conflicts from machetes and single-shot rifles to military-grade assault rifles.”

"AK-47s not by the thousands but by the tens of thousands," Braun explained.

"He transformed these young adolescent warriors into insidious, mindless, maniacally driven killing machines that operated with assembly line efficiencies," Braun said.

Asked what makes Bout a threat to the United States, Braun said, "He is a shadow facilitator. He's arming not only designated terrorist groups, insurgent groups, but he's also arming very powerful drug trafficking cartels around the globe."

According to the U.S. indictment, Bout had a unique selling point regarding weapons trafficking: "a fleet of cargo airplanes capable of transporting weapons and military equipment anytime, anywhere."

With more than 60 planes, it was his private air force.

"Those Russian aircraft were built like flying dump trucks. He could move this stuff and drop it with pinpoint accuracy to any desert, to any jungle, to any other remote place in the world. Right into the hands of what I refer to as the potpourri of global scum," Braun told 60 Minutes.

By the late 1990s, Bout was a legend in the shadowy world of illicit arms dealing - so illusive that the only two pictures that have surfaced of him back then were taken without Bout's knowledge by a Belgian photographer.

President Biden, surrounded by armed Secret Service members, renewed his push to ban assault weapons yesterday during the "National Vigil for All Victims of Gun Violence."

"...Our work continues to limit the number of bullets that can be in a cartridge, the type of weapon that can be purchased and sold, the attempt to ban assault weapons, a whole range of things that are just common sense, just simple common sense," Biden said hours before releasing the world’s most notorious arms dealer.

Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, recently made a bold move by releasing the Twitter files for the social media platform.

Twitter has been plagued by accusations of censorship and bias, with the company under fire recently for its censorship of the Biden laptop and many users feeling their voices were not being heard.

This censorship sparked outrage among many, who accused Twitter of silencing voices that didn't align with the company's far-left agenda and unfairly placing their thumb on the scales of politics, culture, and society.

Louisiana and Missouri’s landmark lawsuit against the Biden administration has also raised concerns about Twitter’s close relationship with government officials, who circumvented the First-Amendment protected speech of American citizens by asking the company to censor certain political ideologies on the platform.

In an age where social media platforms have become an increasingly important source of news and information, and in a world in which algorithms shape people’s perspectives, Elon Musk should release all of the Twitter files on censorship to restore trust and transparency in the platform.

Many believe that Twitter's algorithmically-driven news feed and trending topics promote left-leaning corporate media outlets and establishment viewpoints while often marginalizing independent journalists and counter-narratives.

Users deserve to know how the platform operates, including details about algorithms and blacklists used to determine what content was shown to users.

Political beliefs and world views are inseparably linked to big tech algorithms, and humanity will significantly benefit by learning how Twitter promoted specific ideas and suppressed others.

In 2019, Senior Google engineer Zachary Vorhies made headlines after he leaked 950 pages of internal documents that provide evidence of the company's use of blacklisting, censorship, and machine learning algorithms.

From Vorhies’ perspective, when Google launched a crusade against so-called “fake news,” what it meant, in actuality, was censoring the ideas and arguments of former President Donald Trump and his nationalist-populist supporters.

Vorhies searched for “fake news” in the company’s internal database — and the documents that showed up showed a clear pattern — anything that was “pro-Trump” and anything that was “anti-Hillary” was being labeled as “fake news.”

According to Vorhies, the documents show that Google has been using blacklists and machine learning algorithms to flag certain websites and content as "inappropriate" or "low-quality," causing them to be removed entirely or pushed down in the search rankings.

Vorhies released one Android news blacklist that flagged hundreds of conservative websites to be censored.

For example, Daily Caller, Western Journal, RedState, Gateway Pundit, Steven Crowder, Michelle Malkin, Glenn Beck, and Rush Limbaugh, among other conservative websites, were censored.

In 2019, Project Veritas released footage of Google executive, Jen Gennai, discussing “preventing the next Donald Trump situation.”

She remarked, “We’re also training our algorithms, like, if 2016 happened again, would we have, would the outcome be different?”

In another leaked video, YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki described how Google re-wrote its algorithms to bury the narratives that didn’t support the company’s left-leaning political agenda, “we're pushing down the fake news and demoting it, and we are increasing the authoritative news and promoting it.”

“We have a whole system, we’re keeping up with trashy news where we have built classifiers, we identify it, we look for salacious, clickbait content that isn’t – that we don’t think is, you know, the authoritative news,” she continued.

Wojcicki revealed that the company was using “machine learning” and “classifiers” to filter the company’s search results.

Machine learning is when algorithms are fed real-world information – like humans' decisions – and learn to make decisions based on the patterns they find.

What were these classifiers?

In a leaked document entitled "Fringe ranking/classifier: Defining channel quality," Google ranked ABC News, CBS News, and CNN as more “authoritative” than what Wojcicki would call the “trashy” Fox News, Russia Today, and Breitbart.

The leaked documents have sparked widespread concern and outrage, with many people accusing Google of using its immense power and influence to manipulate public opinion and shape the political landscape.

Suppose Musk is wholeheartedly committed to restoring trust and transparency in Twitter. In that case, he should release all of the files, including details of how machine learning algorithms, blacklists, and censorship were used to limit the free exchange of ideas on the platform.

Free speech is a fundamental human right that is essential for protecting all other rights and freedoms. One of the critical reasons why free speech is so important is that it allows individuals to hold those in power accountable.

Without the ability to speak out and express their views, people would have no way to challenge or criticize the actions of those in positions of power.

This is why I was incredibly disappointed to learn that Twitter has blocked users from sharing links to my Substack, where I have primarily written about big government, big pharma, and big tech corruption.

Many voices that big tech platforms have silenced have moved to Substack, where they can freely communicate, challenge, or criticize the actions of their government and other institutions without fear of retaliation or censorship.

Twitter did not follow its warning-strike policy when the company permanently suspended my account @kanekoathegreat, which had about 150,000 followers in January 2021. Still, the platform has taken the extraordinary step of blocking users from sharing my independent journalism.

As big tech censorship has increased, Substack has become a cornerstone of free speech on the internet.

Many prominent independent journalists have flocked to the platform, which allows individuals to hold those in power accountable, promotes the development of new ideas and progress, and is critical for protecting human rights.

Why is Twitter censoring my Substack, and is Twitter silencing other independent journalists?

Musk has the opportunity to offer a rare and revealing look into the inner workings of how one of the world's most influential social media companies stifled free speech.

People deserve to know how unaccountable Twitter executives determine what content users see and what content users do not see.

Like many others, I have never doxxed anyone, harassed anyone, called for violence, or broken the law. Yet, Twitter suspended me and blocked links to my Substack as “harmful” for voicing political opinions that differed from the ideological bias of the company’s executives.

Without a diverse and independent media landscape, our ability to hold those in power accountable and engage in informed public debate is severely compromised.

Therefore, free speech must be protected and defended at all costs.

I sincerely hope Musk releases all the files without a filter and sticks to his word about restoring suspended accounts. Many are incredibly grateful that Musk is committed to restoring trust and transparency on Twitter.

This is a step in the right direction for free speech, the protection of human rights, and the development of a healthy and vibrant society.

Attorneys General for Missouri and Louisiana released the full 386-page transcript from their November 29th, 2022, deposition of FBI Supervisory Special Agent Elvis Chan, which was taken as part of a landmark lawsuit against the Biden Administration for colluding with social media companies to censor Americans.

Elvis Chan warned Twitter before the 2020 election to expect “hack-and-leak operations’’ specifically involving “Hunter Biden,” according to a sworn declaration by Twitter’s former head of site integrity, Yoel Roth.

“These expectations of hack-and-leak operations were discussed throughout 2020,” Roth said. “I also learned in these meetings that there were rumors that a hack-and-leak operation would involve Hunter Biden.”

“The warnings were so specific that Twitter immediately censored The Post’s scoop about Hunter Biden’s laptop on Oct. 14, 2020, citing its “hacked materials” policy,” Miranda Devine wrote in the New York Post’s coverage of the story.

“The extraordinary revelation for the first time lays bare how the FBI was involved in pre-bunking the story of the laptop, which had been in the bureau’s possession for almost a year.”

While Chan denies ever specifically naming Hunter Biden in the transcript of his deposition released today, “Chan’s testimony contradicts a previous sworn statement by Yoel Roth, Twitter’s former head of site integrity, stating that the FBI had named Hunter when warning the company about expected “hack-and-leak operations’’ before the election,” said Devine.

Chan, who is the head of the FBI’s San Francisco cyber division received his master’s degree in homeland security studies from the Naval Postgraduate School, where he wrote a 2021 postgraduate thesis entitled “Fighting Bears and Trolls: An Analysis of Social Media Companies and U.S. Government Efforts to Combat Russian Influence Campaigns During the 2020 U.S. Elections.”

The 149-page document reads like a Rachel Maddow Russiagate monologue and offers a glimpse into the political bias that led Chan to place his thumb on the scale of the 2020 election.

Here are some quotes from FBI Supervisory Special Agent Elvis Chan’s postgraduate thesis:

“Mueller and his team had two main findings regarding the Russian influence campaign. First, the report found that the IRA’s social media campaign aimed to sow discord in the U.S. elections but pivoted to favoring Donald Trump when it became apparent he would be the Republican presidential nominee. Second, Mueller’s team concluded that the hack and dump attack against the DNC was intended to harm Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.”

Chan’s statement ignores the realization that Crowdstrike CEO Shawn Henry claimed under oath to Congress that his cyber-firm, which did the forensic analysis of the DNC server, had no “concrete evidence that the data was exfiltrated [moved electronically] from the DNC.”

“There are times when we can see data exfiltrated, and we can say conclusively,” Henry said in a declassified 2017 interview. “But in this case, it appears it was set up to be exfiltrated, but we just don’t have the evidence that says it actually left."

“CrowdStrike President Shawn Henry's admission under oath,  in a recently declassified December 2017 interview before the House Intelligence Committee, raises new questions about whether Special Counsel Robert Mueller, intelligence officials and Democrats misled the public," wrote independent journalist Aaron Mate after the Crowdstrike CEO’s interview was declassified in 2020.

“The allegation that Russia stole Democratic Party emails from Hillary Clinton, John Podesta, and others and then passed them to WikiLeaks helped trigger the FBI's probe into now-debunked claims of a conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia to steal the 2016 election.”

In Chan’s postgraduate thesis, he goes into great detail about how Russia influenced the 2016 election, but he does not mention that Crowdstrike’s CEO admitted there is “no concrete evidence” that Russia exfilitrated the data from the DNC server.

FBI Supervisory Special Agent Elvis Chan:

"Despite a broad agreement within the United States that the Russians attempted to interfere in the 2016 U.S. elections, some conservative American media have disputed the impact these efforts had on the election outcome. In a New York Magazine article, Margaret Hartmann, senior editor, stated, “the general consensus is that liberals are overstating the significance of Russia’s alleged meddling in an effort to shift the blame for their loss from Hillary Clinton, and undermine Trump’s presidency."

Chan vastly overstates the impact of Russian interference in the 2016 election throughout his postgraduate thesis.

In an election that saw Trump’s campaign spend more than $950 million and purchase up to 100,000 Facebook ads per day, the Russian firm Internet Research Agency (IRA) purchased around 3,500 advertisements. Their expenditures totaled approximately $100,000 over two years.

Furthermore, the Mueller report says, “the report itself does not state anywhere that the Russian government was behind the Internet Research Agency activity.”

The Department of Justice dropped the charges against the Russian troll farms accused of infleuncing the election when they showed up to court to contest the charges.

FBI Supervisory Special Agent Elvis Chan:

"Putin may have sensed that Donald Trump’s rise as a legitimate candidate offered an avenue to advance his anti-American agenda. Putin’s strategy evolved as the presidential campaign season continued through the summer, supporting Trump as its centerpiece. The Russian covert influence operation pivoted to helping the Trump campaign, in addition to its continued efforts to tear down the Clinton campaign."

Chan insuniates that Russian President Vladimir Putin viewed former President Donald Trump as “an avenue to advance his anti-America agenda.”

This hyper-partisan worldview leaked into Chan’s duties as the FBI Special Agent in charge of advising social media companies on what election information to censor and what not to censor.

The Bureau had the Biden laptop’s in it’s possession for nearly a year, and should have known that the contents of the laptop were not Russian disinformation.

They should have quickly and easily verified that the laptop were the legitimate contents of the Democrat front-runner’s son, Hunter Biden, but whistleblower reports provided to Senator Chuck Grassley reveal that FBI Special Agent Timothy Thibault inaccurately labeled the Biden laptop as disinformation, which protected Joe Biden from further scrutiny.

Furthermore, “the FBI was spying on Trump’s then-lawyer Rudy Giuliani’s online cloud,” under the pretext of an investigation into alleged foreign agent registration violations, which “gave the FBI access to emails in August 2020 from Delaware computer repair store owner John Paul Mac Isaac,” according to Miranda Devine.

Chan’s actions which led to Facebook and Twitter censoring the bombshell New York Post story about the Biden family corruption provided far greater election interference than anything Russian troll farms did in 2016 or 2020.

FBI Supervisory Special Agent Elvis Chan:

“The other prominent topics focused on promoting Trump, a right-wing meme that accused the FBI of misusing the Steele dossier to obtain a surveillance order on Trump associate, Carter Page, and Islamophobic rhetoric. The themes promoted by the IRA on Twitter showed its continued acuity in determining the hot-button issues that would agitate right-wing voters.”

In 2021, FBI Special Agent Chan accused the IRA of promoting “a right-wing meme that accused the FBI of misusing the Steele dossier to obtain a surveillance order on Trump associate, Carter Page….”

The now-debunked claims promoted by Steele were presented without evidence or named sources in a dossier hired by a political campaign and produced by a former spy who spent his life being paid to lie.

The Department of Justice Inspector General decimated the credibility of Steele, the dossier, and the FBI, yet Special Agent Elvis Chan still refers to this as a “right-wing meme” in his 2021 postgraduate thesis.

In 2017, the FBI already knew Steele had no credible sources and that his dossier was essentially filled with Russian disinformation, but the truth about this information was withheld from the American public.

Instead, these lies built on a dossier generated by the Clinton campaign were used to launch years of investigations and media headlines which falsely claimed former President Trump was an agent of the Kremlin.

In 2019, Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report concluded that the FBI would not have been able to spy on former Trump aide Carter Page without using the discredited Steele dossier.

The Office of the Inspector General “determined that Crossfire Hurricane team was unable to corroborate any of the substantive allegations regarding Carter Page listed in Steele’s election reporting, which the FBI relied on in the FISA application.”

Chan does not mention Inspector General Michael Horowitz in his 2021 postgraduate thesis on Russian influence in American elections.

Last month, Marco Polo, a nonprofit led by a former President Donald Trump staffer, released a 630-page report with 2,020 citations that fully document 459 crimes committed by the Biden family and their business associates.

The detailed report sent to District Attorneys, U.S. Attorneys, and all 535 House and Senate members includes 140 alleged business-related crimes, 191 sex-related offenses, and 128 drug-related crimes.

The FBI placed their finger on the scales of the 2020 election after having the Biden laptop for a year, ignoring the evidence of substantial crimes, and then telling social media companies to expect a Russian “hack-and-leak operations’’ involving Hunter Biden.

The FBI, who was aware that the story was going to come out because they were spying on former President Trump’s attorney Rudy Guilani, colluded with the biggest social media companies in the world to censor true stories about Joe Biden’s corruption.

FBI Supervisory Special Agent Elvis Chan, who donated to Democrat candidates during the 2020 election, clearly demonstrates his political bias in his postgraduate thesis and should be removed from his role with the Bureau.

This political bias led to big tech doing the bidding of big government working hand in glove with the FBI which ultimately caused far greater election interference than anything Russia ever did.

Attorneys General for Missouri and Louisiana released the full 446-page transcript from their November 23rd, 2022, deposition of Dr. Anthony Fauci, which was taken as part of a landmark lawsuit against the Biden Administration for colluding with social media companies to censor first-amendment protected speech.

“Fauci’s recent deposition only confirmed what we already knew: federal bureaucrats in collusion with social media companies want to control not only what you think, but especially what you say,” said Attorney General Landry.

“During no time in human history was this more obvious than during the COVID-19 crisis where social engineering tactics were used against the American public, not to limit your exposure to a virus, but to limit your exposure to information that did not fit within a government sanctioned narrative.”

"I think that the public is going to be shocked as to how much Dr. Fauci can’t recall some of the most important actions and discussions that he had at the time, when the pandemic was on our shores," the Lousiana AG said in an interview with Fox News Digital." It is certainly disturbing. And calls into question, you know, his overall mental capability to remember certain key details."

Fauci Flip-Flops On Masks

Fauci, who famously claimed, “I am the science,” could not cite a single study supporting the use of masks throughout the 7-hour deposition.

Interestingly, in a 2019 interview with billionaire David Rubenstein, when asked if people should wear a mask to prevent infectious disease, the covid czar responded by saying, "No, you avoid all the paranoid aspects and do something positive."

Fauci instead recommends a healthy diet, exercise, and sleep to the co-founder of the infamous private equity firm The Carlyle Group.

In February 2020, Fauci recommends in a personal email to a friend that she shouldn't wear a mask because they are not for "protecting uninfected people from acquiring infection" and "the typical mask you buy in the drug store is not really effective in keeping out virus."

Fauci repeats that masks are ineffective in another personal email at the end of March, only to recommend a nationwide universal mask mandate days later, on April 4th, 2020.

Fauci Got Lockdown Policy From China

“Fauci was apparently willing to base his lockdown advocacy on the observations of a single guy relying on reports from a dictator," said attorney Jenin Younes. “He seized on the thinnest evidence to justify draconian ‘public health’ restrictions but required an unreasonably high quality of evidence for anything that contradicted his narrative.”

Fauci and his deputy, Dr. Cliff Lane, were very impressed with how the Chinese were “handling the isolation, the contact tracing, the building of facilities to take care of people,” and modeled the United States’ response after the communist nation.

“When we got there, the outbreak was already coming under control in China. The measures they put in place appear to be working,” said Lane. “From what I saw in China, we may have to go to as extreme a degree of social distancing to help bring our outbreak under control.”

Fauci and Lane ignored scientific precedent and locked down the United States based on the Chinese Communist Party’s blatantly manipulated data, which shows deaths flatlined around 4,800 over the last two years.

“The U.S. & U.K. followed Italy’s lockdown, which had followed China, and all but a handful of countries around the globe immediately followed our lead. Within weeks the whole world was locked down,” wrote Dr. Aaron Kheriaty. “From the very beginning, the evidential basis for this global policy catastrophe was always paper-thin. We are now living in the aftermath.”

Fauci ‘Takes Down’ Lockdown Policy Critics

Surprisingly, except for Sweden, all countries threw their pandemic plans out the window when this pandemic started and followed the Chinese Communist Party’s lockdown policy.

The Great Barrington Declaration was signed by more than 15,000 scientists and over 50,000 medical practitioners who argued a return to a “focused protection” strategy.

The authors, epidemiologists from Harvard, Stanford, and Oxford, argued that more lives would be saved by emphasizing protecting the elderly and immuno-compromised most at risk of hospitalization and death from the disease.

This advice to follow the strategy of "focused protection" took into account the 1000-fold difference in mortality rates between the oldest and youngest and utilized this to protect those at risk while negating the public health and socio-economic damages of lockdowns.

Fauci and former NIH Director Francis Collins conspired to carry out a "quick and devastating published takedown" of the Great Barrington Declaration. "This proposal from three fringe epidemiologists who met with the Secretary seems to be getting a lot of attention – and even a co-signature from Nobel Prize winner Mike Leavitt at Stanford," wrote Collins in an Oct. 8, 2020 email to Fauci.

"There needs to be a quick and devastating published takedown of its premises," the NIH chief continued. "I don't see anything like that on line yet – is it underway?"

In the deposition, Fauci misrepresents the argument of the Great Barrington Declaration and claims that it was an “invalid premise of essentially letting the virus freely circulate” and “letting the virus rip through society and infect people.”

The cross-examination team show Fauci examples of Dr. Collins and himself speaking to the media in the following weeks as they publicly misrepresented the ideas of the Great Barrington Declaration and the highly credentialed epidemiologist.

“A senior administration official told reporters in a background briefing call Monday that the proposed strategy — which has been denounced by other infectious-disease experts and called “fringe” and “dangerous” by National Institutes of Health Director Francis Collins,” wrote the Washington Post on Oct. 14, 2020.

“What I worry about with this is it’s being presented as if it’s a major alternative view that’s held by a large numbers of experts in the scientific community. That is not true. This is a fringe component of epidemiology. This is not mainstream science. It’s dangerous. It fits into the political views of certain parts of our confused political establishment,” said Collins.

“If you let infections rip as it were and say, ‘Let everybody get infected that’s going to be able to get infected and then we’ll have herd immunity.’ Quite frankly that is nonsense, and anybody who knows anything about epidemiology will tell you that that is nonsense and very dangerous,” Fauci told CNBC on Oct. 15, 2020.

“A public debate would have been better. Invitation still open,” Dr. Martin Kulldorff wrote in response to these emails being released last year.

Interestingly, while Fauci and Collins launched their public media ‘take down’ campaign, Big Tech companies like Google, Facebook, and Reddit also updated their COVID-19 misinformation policies to censor the Great Barrington Declaration. For example, Google deboosted search results for the declaration itself, so all the top search results for the topic were articles critical of the proposal.

“In our deposition with Dr. Fauci, it became clear that when Dr. Fauci speaks, social media censors,” said Attorney General Schmitt. “I invite everyone to read the deposition transcript and see exactly how Dr. Fauci operates and exactly how the COVID tyranny that ruined lives and destroyed businesses was born.”

House Republicans announced an investigation into President Joe Biden's family, including his son Hunter Biden, on Thursday, just a day after winning control of the lower chamber of Congress.

"I want to be clear, this is an investigation of Joe Biden, that is where the committee will focus in this next Congress," GOP Rep. James Comer said.

“These include conspiracy or defrauding the United States, wire fraud, conspiracy to commit wire fraud, violation of the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), violation of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, violations of the Trafficking Victims Protection Act, tax evasion, money laundering, and conspiracy to commit money laundering."

The report documents how Hunter Biden violated the Mann Act on at least six occasions, a sex-trafficking law that bars transporting individuals across state lines for illegal sexual activity.

This is the same law that federal prosecutors convicted Ghislaine Maxwell of violating when she persuaded an underage girl to travel from Florida to New York with the intention of having her engage in sexual activity with Jeffrey Epstein.

Violations of the Mann Act carry up to ten years of imprisonment, and Maxwell was sentenced to twenty years after being found guilty on two counts.

R. Kelly, whose legal name is Robert Kelly, was sentenced to thirty years after being found guilty of nine counts, one count of racketeering, and eight counts of violating the Mann Act.

The Marco Polo report uses emails, text messages, photographs, and videos found on the infamous Biden Laptop to diligently detail the First Son’s violations of the same federal sex-trafficking law that locked up Maxwell and Kelly.

For example, Hunter Biden, a former member of Amtrak’s board of directors, paid for three females’ Amtrak tickets from Boston to Penn Station in New York City so they could meet with him in Room 206 at the Roxy Hotel.

“Send me names and go to station. This is not rocket science. Wells Fargo is not denying card I’ve spoken to them twice,” Hunter text messaged one of the girls.

“Sorry if I [Hunter] seemed frustrated but I’m dealing with a [Biden] family emergency right now to [sic] and I promise you [that] you guys can figure this out if you can give [sic] my card to work for some reason then you have 600 bucks for 400 bucks whatever it is I swear to Christ I’m like sure you get 500 bucks back or 700 bucks back all right[.] I promise[,] OK[,] not a problem if it gets too late I’ll see in the morning but I [would] love you guys to be here[,] to spend the day in New York . . . fun and then go back up north[.]”

The female provides Hunter with three names to purchase tickets for before asking him if she should go to the train station and “Are you getting the tickets[?]”

Hunter responds, “Yes” and the financial transaction is confirmed via text messages, emails, copies of the digital tickets, and the females even send him a video of themselves on the train.

Hunter Biden then records himself having sex with the females with his laptop’s built-in webcam via the Photo Booth application.

“In between their meetup in Manhattan at 1AM on 12/14/2018 and their hours-long threesome in downtown Newburyport at 1AM on 12/17/2018, the pair—who referred to themselves as “naughty whores”—called Hunter “their future baby daddy” before they lit his crack pipe (which featured a green quellazaire) and stimulated his penis while he showered in a rental on Plum Island,” the Marco Polo report says of the encounter.

The Sun, a British tabloid newspaper, released a video of the females lighting Hunter’s crack pipe in the shower:

The specific federal sex-trafficking law that Hunter Biden violated states:

18 USC 2421(a) - Whoever knowingly transports any individual in interstate or foreign commerce....with intent that such individual engage in prostitution, or in any sexual activity for which any person can be charged with a criminal offense, or attempts to do so, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both.

18 USC 2422 (a) - Whoever knowingly persuades, induces, entices, or coerces any individual to travel in interstate or foreign commerce....to engage in prostitution, or in any sexual activity for which any person can be charged with a criminal offense, or attempts to do so, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both.

Joe Biden, who famously passed the crack cocaine laws that locked up millions of Americans, continues to deny that Hunter and his family have committed any crimes, but the evidence found on his son’s abandoned laptop tells a different story.

Hunter fully documented his violations of the Mann Act that put Ghislaine Maxwell and R. Kelly behind bars for decades.

Marco Polo’s report documents Hunter Biden violating the Mann Act on six seperate occasions, but perhaps the most egregious crimes are how the Biden family made millions of dollars as the U.S. frontmen for China’s Belt and Road Initiative.

On January 28, 2020, U.S. federal authorities arrested Charles Lieber of Harvard University on charges of misleading the Department of Defense and the National Institutes of Health about his connections to China’s Thousand Talents Plan.

Thousand Talents is the most prominent of more than 200 similar initiatives China uses as part of its overseas program to acquire foreign technology and intellectual property.

According to the DOJ, the Wuhan University of Technology (WUT) “paid Lieber $50,000 per month, living expenses of up to $158,000 at a time, and awarded him more than $1.5 million to establish a research lab at WUT.”

Dr. Lieber, the chair of the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Harvard University, failed to disclose his role as a ‘Strategic Scientist’ at Wuhan University of Technology (WUT) and his participation in the Thousand Talents Plan.

Eugene Yu, the CEO of U.S. election software company Konnech, was an “officer” on the “finance committee” of the American Zhu Kezhen Education Foundation (AZKEF).

In 2002, AZKEF awarded Dr. Lieber the “International Zhu Kezhen Lectureship Award,” which included an all-expenses paid trip to Zhejiang University, where the head of Harvard’s Chemistry Department gave a speech on “Nanotech in Today’s World.”

AZKEF Sends Charles Lieber To China

Konnech CEO Eugene Yu was featured in a Chinese magazine entitled "Overseas Scholars" written by AZKEF and the China Association for Science and Technology in the United States (CAST-USA).

In the magazine, CAST-USA refers to Eugene Yu by his Chinese name Yu Jianwei (于建伟), and says that he is an “officer” on the “finance committee” of the American Zhu Kezhen Education Foundation.

I discovered Dr. Lieber’s visit to Zhejiang University in the archives of AZKEF’s website.

AZKEF’s mission is “to promote exchange and cooperation between Zhejiang University and universities in the United States” and “to invite United States professors or scientists to Zhejiang University.”

According to AZKEF, Dr. Lieber’s visit “produced a lot of excitement” and other universities such as “Fudan University, University of Science and Technology of China, Tshinghua University, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences” took the opportunity to invite Lieber to visit their campuses:

The 2002 lecturer, Prof. Charles Lieber, the Mark Hyman Professor of Chemistry of Harvard University is a recognized foremost scientist in nano science and technology, an emerging field of intense worldwide interest. The announcement of his visit to ZU instantly produced a lot of excitement in scientific circles in China. Fudan University, University of Science and Technology of China, Tshinghua University, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences took this advantage to invite Prof. Lieber to also visit their campuses.

Prof. Lieber’s lectures at ZU attracted a large audience. He received an honorary professorship from ZU and provided valuable feedback to ZU’s Center for Nano Science and Technology after hearing presentations by five ZU professors in this area. Prof. Lieber truly found this trip interesting and enjoyable, and stated that it was the best trip he has taken in many, many years.

At a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Bill Priestap, the former Assistant Director of the FBI’s Counterintelligence Division, stated that China’s talent recruitment plans are effectively “brain gain programs” that “encourage theft of intellectual property from U.S. institutions.”

Priestap continued, “For example, China’s talent recruitment plans, such as the Thousand Talents Program, offer competitive salaries, state-of-the-art research facilities, and honorific titles, luring both Chinese overseas talent and foreign experts alike to bring their knowledge and experience to China, even if that means stealing proprietary information or violating export controls to do so.”

At 9:00 a.m. on November 5th, the venue of the Mathematical Science Research Center of Zhejiang University was full of more than 200 people. They were professors, graduate students and undergraduates from various campuses. They made a special trip to listen to Professor Lieber's speech. The lecture was held by the Nanotechnology Center of Zhejiang University and the Department of Foreign Exchange and Cooperation.

Vice President Ni Mingjiang, on behalf of Zhejiang University, awarded Charles Lieber the title of Honorary Professor of Zhejiang University and delivered a warm speech. In the speech, he spoke highly of Professor Lieber's brilliant achievements in the field of nanotechnology, and regarded Professor Lieber's visit as a precious opportunity to develop the friendship between Zhejiang University and Harvard University. He hoped that Professor Lieber's visit could establish a bond between Zhejiang University and Harvard University, and push the teaching and research of Zhejiang University to a higher level.

Prof. Lieber happily accepted the title of honorary professor of Zhejiang University and gave two wonderful speeches in the morning and afternoon. The content involves a large number of achievements in basic research and high-tech development by the research group he led in recent years, including several research papers on quasi-one-dimensional nanomaterials published in the most advanced international scientific journals <Nature> and <Science> ; Several designs and patents in the fields of nanoelectronic devices, mesoscopic circuits, and quantum computers.

A large number of scientific and technological pictures and photos displayed by Powerpoint, and Professor Lieber's vivid and interesting descriptions made the audience feel like they had wandered through the peak of science. In order to carry out in-depth exchanges with Professor Lieber, five professors in our school who are engaged in nanomaterials research also invited Professor Lieber to participate in their lectures on the morning of the 6th. The professors showed Professor Lieber the research status of Zhejiang University in the field of nanomaterials, including talent structure, equipment level, research results, etc.

Prof. Lieber spoke highly of their work and made many instructive suggestions. AZKEF’s Founding Director, Dr. Fei-Yue Wang

Dr. Fei-Yue Wang graduated from Zhejiang University in 1984. He is a founding Board Director of AZKEF and a former President of the organization.

Dr. Wang received his Ph.D. from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute before becoming a Professor and the Director of the Robotics Laboratory at the University of Arizona in 1990. In 1999, he founded the Intelligent Control and Systems Engineering Center at the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), where he is currently the Chief Scientist.

“He founded the Sino-US Joint R&D Center for Intelligent Control Systems to bridge the joint research efforts among the University of Arizona, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Chinese Kelon Corporation,” according to Dr. Wang’s AZKEF biography.

He was awarded an “Excellent Performance Award” from the “Chinese Academy of Sciences Hundred Talents Plan” in 2002 and was the President of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology in 2005.

Chinese Association for Science and Technology (CAST)

CAST is a transnational organization and constituent member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) whose stated mission is to “maintain close ties with millions of Chinese scientists, engineers and other people working in the fields of science and technology,” and to operate as “the bridge linking Chinese science and technology community with the Communist Party of China and the Chinese government,” according to organization’s archived “About Us” webpage.

In 2003, CAST established the Help Our Motherland through Elite Intellectual Resources from Overseas Program (HOME) in concert with the Organization Department of the Chinese Communist Party to recruit overseas science and technology talent to transfer technology and intellectual property back to China.

The CPPCC’s role in channeling overseas science and technology knowledge toward China’s development has grown since a 2013 directive from General Secretary Xi Jinping to focus on incentivizing overseas Chinese to contribute their technical skills and expertise to China’s national rejuvenation.

By 2020, a United States congressional body warned that the Chinese government has built a “sprawling ecosystem of structures, programs, and incentives to coopt and exploit overseas experts for the science and technology they acquire abroad.”

“Chinese leaders have long viewed advanced science and technology (S&T) as key to China’s comprehensive national power and sought to acquire it through licit and illicit means from developed countries like the United States,” the US-China Economic and Security Review Commission (USCC) said in the report.

“This ecosystem sponsors promising Chinese students and scholars at U.S. and other foreign universities, incentivizes their return to China for the long term, and employs transnational organizations to channel S&T know-how from those remaining abroad back to mainland China.”

The U.S. Senate report continues:

“Many programs associated with Beijing’s S&T transfer ecosystem—including scholarships to study abroad, talent recruitment plans, and entrepreneurship parks—contribute to China’s military-civil fusion strategy by collecting specific technologies and know-how that improve the capabilities of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) and advance the goals” of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).”

“This ecosystem sponsors promising Chinese students and scholars to study at foreign universities, incentivizes or requires their return to China in exchange for this support, and recruits researchers via hundreds of talent programs. Moreover, it integrates Chinese students and scholars remaining abroad with organizations that facilitate the transfer of S&T back to the Mainland, where it can be exploited by the PLA, government ministries, state-owned enterprises (SOEs), state-run laboratories, and startups.”

“Even when overseas Chinese students and scholars do stay in the United States after graduation, China’s transnational technology transfer organizations and talent recruitment plans provide a means to contribute to China’s national rejuvenation by transferring technology and know-how without requiring physical return.”

China’s Military-Civil Fusion Strategy

CAST, which “maintains at least 12 chapters and about 8,000 members located across the United States,” is a part of China’s military-civil fusion strategy, a plan which intentionally blurs the lines between public and private enterprises, to ensure that the nation’s military, espionage, and commercial interests are intertwined.

“CAST contributes to China’s overseas technology acquisition efforts chiefly through the “Haizhi Plan,” a sprawling program that conducts a plethora of outreach initiatives to overseas Chinese students and scholars,” the report continues.

“For the first ten years of its existence, the Haizhi Plan engaged in many of the activities typically associated with talent programs, such as sponsoring short-term trips to China, maintaining lists of prominent overseas Chinese students and scholars regarded as experts in their scientific field, organizing recruitment events, sponsoring startup competitions, offering incentives to entrepreneurs to return to China, and enabling scientific cooperation projects between overseas and domestic institutions.”

Konnech CEO Eugene Yu was an “officer” on the “finance committee” of a Chinese foundation in the United States tasked with flying professors like Charles Lieber to China and this discovery was made on a CAST-USA magazine entitled “Overseas Scholars.”

AZKEF keeps a list of talented overseas Chinese students, offers awards for prominent scientists to fly to China, and focuses on bridging Zhejiang University with universities in the United States.

Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS)

On January 25, 2006, Konnech CEO Eugene Yu’s subsidiary Jinhua Yulian Network was accepted into the Chinese Academy of Sciences Jinhua Science and Technology Park (“the Park”) in Zhejiang, China.

Dr. Fei Yue-Wang, a member of CAS’s Hundred Talents Program, the President of the CAST, and the Founder and Chief Scientist of a CAS Robotics Laboratory, may have helped fellow AZKEF member Eugene Yu get accepted into the Park’s incubator program.

Jinhua Yulian Network was located 500 meters away from the Jinhua Government Building in the first science and technology park jointly built by CAS and a prefecture-level government.

The Chinese government financed, developed, and ultimately controlled Jinhua Yulian Network since Konnech’s subsidiary was accepted into the Park. Specifically, Eugene Yu is contractually obligated to follow the laws of the People’s Republic of China and the rules of the Park.

In exchange, the Chinese government has provided Eugene Yu with money, software, and the Chinese companies associated with him have been extremely successful.

For example, Eugene Yu registered “hongzhengtech.cn” for Jinhua Hongzheng Technology to admin@konnech.com on July 31, 2015.

As a result, Konnech had core control over Jinhua Hongzheng Technology’s website—a company partnered with Huawei, China Telecom, and China Unicom that operates in more than 20 provinces across China as the premier voting technology provider for the National People’s Congress.

A U.S. congressional report found that CAS has “connections to Chinese military, nuclear, and cyberespionage programs.”

CAS & CAS-owned companies develop hypersonic spaceplanes, robotic submarines, and missile technologies for the Chinese military.

CAS also helped Konnech’s Chinese subsidiary develop Konnech’s U.S. election software.

The Konnech story is much bigger than U.S. election software and best understood through the lens of China’s rise into a global superpower.

Regardless of the actions of federal law enforcement or county prosecutors, many of the facts of this case are archived on deleted Chinese government websites, waiting to be uncovered by those who are willing to look. What is the truth about Konnech’s connection to China?

In 2019, the United States Senate released a report entitled Threats to the U.S. Research Enterprise: China’s Talent Recruitment Plans that explains how China’s more than 200 overseas talent recruitment plans—the most prominent of which is the Thousand Talents Plan—has contributed to China’s global rise over the last 20 years.

During that time, China openly recruited U.S.-based researchers, scientists, and entrepreneurs in the public and private sectors to provide China with knowledge and intellectual capital in exchange for monetary gain and other benefits.

China provides salaries, research funding, office space, and other incentives to lure overseas talents into working for China. According to an analysis by the FBI, China invested more than $2 trillion between 2008 and 2020 into human resources as part of this “whole-of-government campaign to recruit talent and foreign experts from around the world.”

FBI - Chinese Talent Plans Encourage Trade Secret Theft, Economic Espionage

“Talent plans can sometimes foster legitimate sharing and collaboration as part of an appropriate business arrangement or research exchange, but this is not the norm. Instead, talent plans usually involve undisclosed and illegal transfers of information, technology, or intellectual property that are one-way and detrimental to U.S. institutions.”

An individual’s undisclosed participation in a talent plan may:

• “Pose risks to national security because of the participant’s obligation to the Chinese government”

• “Result in inappropriate use of taxpayer funds if the participant is awarded a U.S. government grant”

I will make three main arguments today.

First, the story of Konnech is the story of Jinhua Yulian Network and Jinhua Hongzheng Technology. While the New York Times confirmed the existence of Konnech’s Chinese subsidiary the day before Eugene Yu’s arrest, the U.S. media has been completely silent on the subject ever since. Why report on Eugene Yu’s arrest or his defamation case if you aren’t going to talk about his Chinese companies? These companies have large digital footprints, more employees than Konnech, and are the real story of Eugene Yu’s success.

Second, Eugene Yu was accepted into the Chinese Academy of Sciences Jinhua Science and Technology Park (“the Park”) on January 25, 2006. The Chinese Government has financed, developed, and ultimately controlled Jinhua Yulian Network ever since. Specifically, Eugene Yu is contractually obligated to follow the laws of the People’s Republic of China and the rules of the Park. In exchange, the Chinese government has provided Eugene Yu with money, software, and success beyond his wildest dreams.

Third, it is highly unlikely that Eugene Yu reported any of his foreign income to the U.S. government. For example, on July 18, 2007, Eugene Yu posted an ad on the Park’s website offering ¥ 5,000,000 yuan for help with developing “software packages.” Eugene Yu listed Jinhua Yulian Network’s URL as www.konnech.com, but do you think he told the U.S. government that Konnech’s software was being funded and developed at the Chinese Academy of Sciences Jinhua Science and Technology Park?

Let me now lay out the facts in greater detail starting in the order that I discovered them.

Chinese Brief - Overseas Chinese Network

In December 2006, Konnech wrote on a Facebook post “… Confucius Institute at Michigan State University has reached an agreement with Konnech, Inc. to build ChineseBrief.com—a unique interactive communication platform and Chinese language learning tool.”

Michigan State University’s Confucius Institute also announced this partnership on their now archived homepage, “The Confucius Institute recently signed an agreement with the Okemos, MI based company Konnech to offer daily 3-5 minute Mandarin lessons delivered to your phone.”

Eugene Yu now says that he never finished developing this software, but that doesn’t change the fact that the Konnech “signed an agreement” to build ChineseBrief.com for the Confucius Institute.

Furthermore, Eugene Yu did later register a business named CNBrief LLC and build the now-deleted website www.cnbrief.com. The website’s copyright when translated from Chinese to English says “Chinese Brief - Overseas Chinese Network.”

Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics

According to Linkedin, Konnech’s employees graduated from numerous Chinese universities including Zhejiang University, Nanjing University, University of Science and Technology of China, Beijing Language and Culture University, China Agricultural University, and Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

For example, Konnech software engineer Wang (Shawn) Xiang, graduated from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA) with a bachelors degree in Computer Science in 2012. In 2020, the United States banned NUAA graduate students from entering the country because of the University’s ties to the People’s Liberation Army (PLA).

Queensland Coders Locked Down In Wuhan

Queensland, Australia had problems with their “election reporting system” in 2020 after their “decision to acquire the Konnech system.”

Queensland government officials said Konnech’s software was not developed as planned because coding resources were locked down in Wuhan, China.

This led to Queensland Parliament Members asking—why Australian election software was being coded by Chinese coders?

After Eugene Yu’s arrest last month, MP Fiona Simpson repeated her concerns about Konnech’s Chinese coders to the Queensland Parliament and explained that, “Eugene Yu tried to sue me for raising issues about Konnech.”

“I believe these legal maneuvers by Mr. Yu are attempts to bully and gag an elected representative and our continued demand of greater transparency and accountability as well as security of our election system.”

China Association for Science and Technology (CAST)

Konnech’s CEO Eugene Yu is featured in a Chinese magazine entitled "Overseas Scholars" written by the China Association for Science and Technology in the United States (CAST-USA) and the American Zhu Kezhen Education Foundation (AZKEF).

CAST is a transnational organization and constituent member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) whose stated mission is to “maintain close ties with millions of Chinese scientists, engineers and other people working in the fields of science and technology,” and to operate as “the bridge linking Chinese science and technology community with the Communist Party of China and the Chinese government,” according to organization’s archived “About Us” webpage.

In 2003, CAST established the Help Our Motherland through Elite Intellectual Resources from Overseas Program (HOME) in concert with the Organization Department of the Chinese Communist Party with the goal of recruiting overseas science and technology talent for the purpose of transferring technology and intellectual property back to China.

The CPPCC’s role in channeling overseas science and technology knowledge toward China’s development has grown since a 2013 directive from General Secretary Xi Jinping to focus on incentivizing overseas Chinese to contribute their technical skills and expertise to China’s national rejuvenation.

By 2020, a United States congressional body warned that the Chinese government has built a “sprawling ecosystem of structures, programs, and incentives to coopt and exploit overseas experts for the science and technology they acquire abroad.”

“Chinese leaders have long viewed advanced science and technology (S&T) as key to China’s comprehensive national power and sought to acquire it through licit and illicit means from developed countries like the United States,” the US-China Economic and Security Review Commission (USCC) said in the report.

“This ecosystem sponsors promising Chinese students and scholars at U.S. and other foreign universities, incentivizes their return to China for the long term, and employs transnational organizations to channel S&T know-how from those remaining abroad back to mainland China.”

The U.S. Senate report continues:

“Many programs associated with Beijing’s S&T transfer ecosystem—including scholarships to study abroad, talent recruitment plans, and entrepreneurship parks—contribute to China’s military-civil fusion strategy by collecting specific technologies and know-how that improve the capabilities of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) and advance the goals” of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).”

“This ecosystem sponsors promising Chinese students and scholars to study at foreign universities, incentivizes or requires their return to China in exchange for this support, and recruits researchers via hundreds of talent programs. Moreover, it integrates Chinese students and scholars remaining abroad with organizations that facilitate the transfer of S&T back to the Mainland, where it can be exploited by the PLA, government ministries, state-owned enterprises (SOEs), state-run laboratories, and startups.”

“Even when overseas Chinese students and scholars do stay in the United States after graduation, China’s transnational technology transfer organizations and talent recruitment plans provide a means to contribute to China’s national rejuvenation by transferring technology and know-how without requiring physical return.”

China’s Military-Civil Fusion Strategy

CAST which “maintains at least 12 chapters and about 8,000 members located across the United States” is a part of China’s military-civil fusion strategy, a plan which intentionally blurs the lines between public and private enterprises, to ensure that the nation’s military, espionage, and commercial interests are intertwined.

“CAST contributes to China’s overseas technology acquisition efforts chiefly through the “Haizhi Plan,” a sprawling program that conducts a plethora of outreach initiatives to overseas Chinese students and scholars,” the report continues.

“For the first ten years of its existence, the Haizhi Plan engaged in many of the activities typically associated with talent programs, such as sponsoring short-term trips to China, maintaining lists of prominent overseas Chinese students and scholars regarded as experts in their scientific field, organizing recruitment events, sponsoring startup competitions, offering incentives to entrepreneurs to return to China, and enabling scientific cooperation projects between overseas and domestic institutions.”

AZKEF Flies Charles Lieber To China

In the magazine, CAST-USA refers to Eugene Yu by his Chinese name Yu Jianwei (于建伟) and says that he is an “officer” on the “finance committee” of the American Zhu Kezhen Education Foundation. The foundation’s stated mission is “to promote exchange and cooperation between Zhejiang University and universities in the United States,” and “to invite United States professors or scientists to Zhejiang University.”

In 2002, AZKEF flew Professor Charles Lieber, the head of Harvard’s Chemistry Department, to Zhejiang University to give a speech on “Nanotech in Today’s World.”

According to AZKEF, Prof. Charles Lieber’s visit “produced a lot of excitement” and other universities such as the “Chinese Academy of Sciences” also invited Lieber to visit their campuses:

The 2002 lecturer, Prof. Charles Lieber, the Mark Hyman Professor of Chemistry of Harvard University is a recognized foremost scientist in nano science and technology, an emerging field of intense worldwide interest. The announcement of his visit to ZU instantly produced a lot of excitement in scientific circles in China. Fudan University, University of Science and Technology of China, Tshinghua University, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences took this advantage to invite Prof. Lieber to also visit their campuses.

Prof. Lieber’s lectures at ZU attracted a large audience. He received an honorary professorship from ZU and provided valuable feedback to ZU’s Center for Nano Science and Technology after hearing presentations by five ZU professors in this area. Prof. Lieber truly found this trip interesting and enjoyable, and stated that it was the best trip he has taken in many, many years.

In 2020, Prof. Charles Lieber was arrested for concealing his funding from the Wuhan University of Technology and his participation in China’s Thousand Talents Program.

At a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Bill Priestap, the former Assistant Director of the FBI’s Counterintelligence Division, stated that China’s talent recruitment plans are effectively “brain gain programs” that “encourage theft of intellectual property from U.S. institutions.”

Priestap continued, “For example, China’s talent recruitment plans, such as the Thousand Talents Program, offer competitive salaries, state-of-the-art research facilities, and honorific titles, luring both Chinese overseas talent and foreign experts alike to bring their knowledge and experience to China, even if that means stealing proprietary information or violating export controls to do so.”

Eugene Yu was an “officer” on the “finance committee” of a Chinese foundation in the United States tasked with flying professors like Charles Lieber to China and this discovery was made on a China Association for Science and Technology in the United States magazine entitled “Overseas Scholars.”

In a similar fashion to how the U.S. congressional report described CAST’s overseas science and technology acquisition efforts, AZKEF keeps list of talented overseas Chinese students, offers incentives for prominent scientists to fly to China, and focuses on bridging Zhejiang University with universities in the United States.

International Elite Entrepreneurship

A Chinese document entitled International Elite Entrepreneurship Modern Service Outsourcing provides a detailed biography of Konnech. The document features 46 Chinese high-tech companies that operate overseas and was written around the 2008 Great Financial Crisis based on Konnech's reference to the "economic downturn."

The biography says the mission of Konnech is to become “one of the top 50 e-commerce service providers for schools and government in the United States within 10 years.” It also says:

“The company will enter a phase of rapid development after the implementation of the venture fund in Wuzhong.”

"In terms of specialized technology, we have been developing and hiring technical personnel with expertise in the field in a rapid manner by utilizing the role of corporate and university professors and graduate classes for project development, with the aim of receiving advanced applied technology."

"... it is an indisputable fact that many cutting-edge products come from American university campuses. We must take the corresponding path and cooperate with American universities and Zhejiang University and other domestic institutions to focus on the development of applied technologies and the application-oriented development of specialized technologies."

The document describes the problems facing the U.S. market citing “expensive software programming fees and talent shortages” and reduced “funding for IT projects” before concluding, “in this environment, the role of our China branch is fully demonstrated.”

It is unknown if Eugene Yu ever reported Konnech’s “venture fund in Wuzhong” to the U.S. government.

China’s Economic and Technological Development Zones

The document also says that Eugene Yu worked for the Chinese government as a Project Manager of the Guangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) from 1983 until 1985. He worked in the Industrial Project Negotiation Department and "completed the introduction of several major projects."

Since the launch of the GETDZ in 1984, China has established 219 national-level Economic and Technological Development Zones (ETDZs), which helped launch China’s rise to global economic superpower.

In order to promote science and technology intensive industries, ETDZs offer financial incentives and preferential policies that target domestic and overseas enterprises focused on manufacturing, scientific, and technological industries.

Last month, when Eugene Yu’s attorneys filed a motion to dismiss his criminal case in California, they included a section entitled FACTUAL BACKGROUND that says he “worked in various locations” after he graduated from Zhejiang University and before he was accepted into Wake Forest University.

This background fails to mention that Eugene Yu worked for the Chinese government as a Project Manager in the GETDZ:

Eugene Yu was born and raised in Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province, China. In 1974, as part of China’s cultural revolution, Mr. Yu was sent to a communal farm where he labored for four years in squalor conditions.  In 1977, after Chairman Mao died, Mr. Yu scored high on a nationwide test, qualifying him for admission to study engineering at Zhejiang University.

After graduating from college, he was sent to work in various locations in China. Mr. Yu then met and married his wife Donna Wang. In 1986, Mr. Yu and Dr. Wang were accepted to graduate school programs at Wake Forest University, where Mr. Yu obtained his MBA degree.

Two decades later, Eugene Yu would return to China to launch his company Jinhua Yulian Network Technology Co., Ltd. (金华宇联网络科技有限公司) in the Jinhua Economic and Technological Development Zone (JETDZ).

In August, an independent journalist found an archived version of Eugene Yu’s Chinese company’s website "yu-lian.cn.”

In 2013, on “yu-lian.cn,” Eugene Yu openly praised “Comrade Jiang Zemin” and the “Chinese Communist Party” stating that his company’s principle is “political tasks first and economic benefits of enterprises second” before listing “Election Management Solutions, Detroit” and “US Overseas Voters” as his success stories.

“In line with the principle of "political tasks first and economic benefits of enterprises second," our company has perfected and formed the whole set of election management theory and software tools in line with China's national conditions.”

“We hope to ride on the spring breeze of political reform and provide you with election consulting services and election campaign management in line with China's national conditions based on our democratic election campaigns with Chinese characteristics.”

The U.S. corporate media has remained completely silent on Eugene Yu’s Chinese company ever since the New York Times confirmed that Konnech owned a Chinese subsidiary named Jinhua Yulian Network Technology (金华宇联网络科技有限公司).

Only The Blaze, Gateway Pundit, and independent journalists have written anything about Jinhua Yulian Network since the Times first confirmed its existence on October 3, 2022.

I believe this is because Catherine Engelbrecht and Gregg Phillips, who are two prominent faces of the national election integrity movement, initially broke the story. Unfortunately, politics and the narrative are more important to the corporate media than the integrity of U.S. elections.

Regardless of how the media spins it, it’s impossible to report the facts on Eugene Yu’s arrest and defamation case, without mentioning Konnech’s Chinese subsidiary.

On Jinhua Yulian Network’s “Consultation Service” webpage, Konnech’s Chinese subsidiary clearly states that it provides election solutions for all levels of the Chinese Communist Party: “NPC [National People’s Congress], CPPCC [Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference], trade unions, overseas Chinese Federations, Communist Youth Leagues, villages, and towns….”

This is corroborated by public records of Jinhua Yulian Network bidding on contracts to provide China’s National People’s Congress with election software.

For example, on July 24, 2017, Jinhua Yulian Network bid ¥ 54,800 yuan to the provide an “electronic voting system” to the “Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Tangyin County.” On December 25 , 2017, Konnech’s Chinese subsidiary bid ¥ 419,700 yuan to provide an “electronic voting system” to the “Pengyang County People’s Congress.”

And, on September 17, 2018, the company bid ¥ 329,500 yuan to provide a "voting system” to the "People's Congress of Hecheng District."

Once again, it’s highly unlikely that Eugene Yu reported to the U.S. Government that he received foreign income for providing “electronic voting systems” to the Chinese Government.

This is highlighted by the fact that Konnech has repeatedly stated in its defamation lawsuit against True The Vote that “neither Eugene Yu nor Konnech have ever had any association with the Chinese Communist Party.”

To the contrary, Konnech’s Chinese subsidiary, which develops U.S. election software, also develops election software for the Chinese Communist Party.

China’s National Intelligence law mandates information sharing between “private” businesses and intelligence agencies, even for Chinese businesses operating in other countries. China’s National Intelligence Law states: “Any organization or citizen shall support, assist and cooperate with the state intelligence work in accordance with the law.”

The Chinese Government’s military-civil fusion strategy adheres to the philosophy that every component of Chinese society is responsible for ensuring the national security of the country.

And while the New York Times wrote a total of three sentences about “Jinhua Yulian Network Technology, a subsidiary out of China, where programmers developed and tested software,” the company describes itself as “the largest and most professional software developer in Jinhua area, specializing in providing management software development, website system development, mobile APP application client development, Weibo and WeChat development and other development services.”

“Utilizing the mobile intelligence advantages of cloud platform and big data, it provides overall solutions of informatization and mobile applications for government departments, enterprises and institutions at all levels.”

Eugene Yu’s success with Jinhua Yulian Network gave rise to another company named Jinhua Hongzheng Technology Co., Ltd. (金华鸿正科技有限公司).

Jinhua Hongzheng Technology is a national-level high-tech enterprise partnered with Huawei, Lenovo, China Telecom, China Mobile, and China Unicom, and the company provides election and conferencing software to China’s National People’s Congress.

In 2020, former CIA Director Mike Pompeo described Chinese state-backed telecom giants as “Trojan horses for Chinese intelligence.”

“We can't let information go across networks that we don't have confidence won't be hijacked by the Chinese Communist Party,” Mike Pompeo said in a speech that called on the international community to ban Huawei’s 5G network.

Despite the fact that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has designated China Telecom, China Unicom, China Mobile, and Huawei as “national security threats,” Konnech registered “hongzhengtech.cn” for Jinhua Hongzheng Technology to admin@konnech.com on July 31, 2015.

As a result, Konnech had core control over Jinhua Hongzheng Technology’s website—a company that operates in more than 20 provinces across China as the premier voting technology provider for the National People’s Congress.

In 2016, Konnech posted those same seals on its American website.

Although, Eugene Yu posted the seals on konnech.com without the “Chinese characteristics.”

Jinhua Hongzheng Technology repeatedly claims that it is a byproduct of Jinhua Yulian Network and Konnech.

On Baidu Library, Jinhua Hongzheng Technology’s says:

Our company is a technology-based enterprise specializing in providing comprehensive solutions for election voting and office automation, and in 2015, we registered Jinhua Hongzheng Technology Co.

The predecessor of our company is Jinhua Yulian Company, which was registered in Jinhua in 2005, specializing in offshore software outsourcing services. Now we continue the main backbone and technical force of Jinhua Yulian Company, with the world's leading research and development experience of large public system software and global encryption security technology and professional technical team.

Jinhua Hongzheng Technology repeatedly says:

“Its predecessor, “Konnech., LTD.” was established in November 2005. It is a software company that has been engaged in software offshore outsourcing services for more than ten years. Shao Guojun (邵国君) designed Konnech’s system architecture between 2006 and 2015 before becoming a "Senior Architect" at Huawei, where he worked on the Chinese telecom giant's “cloud platform architecture.”

In 2020, Wucheng News Network acknowledged Eugene Yu worked for Jinhua Hongzheng Technology in an article that describes the Konnech CEO’s international election expertise and Chen Wei’s cryptography expertise.

The Jinhua Municipal Government called the Science and Technology Park “a public service platform to carry out extensive exchanges and cooperation of talents, technologies, and projects.” By 2005, JHTP had signed comprehensive scientific and technological cooperation agreements with 45 domestic universities including the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) was founded in 1949 and operates as a national think tank with dozens of campuses, hundreds of laboratories, and more than 50,000 researchers.

Hangzhou Anheng Information Technology Co., Ltd. (DBAPPSecurity) was founded in 2007 by Mr. Fan Yuan, an expert in the National Thousand Talents Program. As a well-known brand in frontier fields such as cloud security, Internet application security, big data security, smart city security and industrial control security, it has been selected as one of the top 500 global cyber security companies for many times.

It has successively provided network information security for many major events such as the Beijing Olympic Games, the 60th anniversary of the National Day, the Shanghai World Expo, the Guangzhou Asian Games, the 70th anniversary of the Anti-Japanese War, the four consecutive World Internet Conferences, the G20 Hangzhou Summit, and the Xiamen BRICS Summit.

Anheng Information list the Cyberspace Administration of China, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Public Security, Bank of China, China Construction Bank, China Telecom, China Mobile, China Unicom, China Petroleum, and Sinopec among its partners.

“These parks partner with local universities and research institutes to spin off the knowledge and technical processes returned students and scholars had acquired while abroad into successful Chinese technology companies.”

The U.S. congressional report continues:

“Entrepreneurship parks for returnees may also be located near science and technology complexes that are designated centers for military-civil fusion. For example, the Mianyang Science and Technology Innovation Zone in Sichuan Province is a large complex that was authorized to conduct military-civil-fusion-related projects in 2002.”

“The Mianyang Overseas Students Pioneer Park, which itself incubates around 30 businesses, is located close to the zone’s administrative headquarters, suggesting a high likelihood that cross-pollination occurs between the parks. A 2016 article in the People’s Daily praising the dynamism of military-civil-fusion-related research at Mianyang Science and Technology Innovation Zone quoted the head of one of its centers who noted that more than 60 of his employees were returned overseas students and scholars.”

“Beijing also provides attractive business incentives to overseas Chinese students and scholars to return to China permanently to start their own companies, creating yet another channel for the absorption of foreign technologies. These incentives include central government financial support for returnees seeking startup capital, increased space for returnee startups in science parks, greater participation by government-owned venture capital funds in financing returnee startups, preferential tax policies, discounts on rent and land for business facilities, policy changes allowing returnee businesses to compete for government procurement contracts, and simplified business registration procedures.”

Jinhua Yulian Network was accepted into the Chinese Academy of Sciences Jinhua Science and Technology Park’s Entrepreneurship Service Center (JHTP) on January 25, 2006, according to an archived JHTP webpage.

The Chinese Academy of Sciences JHTP provides entrepreneurship services for overseas students returning to China, working and living facilities, scientific and technological services, financial support, and training.

This includes research and development sites, assistance in industrial and tax registration, and assistance in applying for national, provincial, municipal, and local government grants.

The Park even offers “special training in management, finance, law, foreign language, and computers.”

In 2006, the Ministry of Science and Technology awarded JHTP 3 million yuan to build an Internet Data Center (IDC) through China’s national “Torch Program.” In 1988, the Chinese Communist Party’s State Council launched the Ministry of Science and Technology’s national Torch Program with the goal of speeding up the nation’s “science and technological industrialization.”

JHTP’s IDC improved the Park’s “broadband speed” and provided a “regional professional information service sharing platform, which solves the information sharing of more than 50 Internet companies and more than 200 industrial enterprises in the park.”

Jinhua Yulian Network received subsidized internet, network support, and internet hosting services as one of the Park’s incubating enterprises.

In return, as a foreign-invested limited liability company residing in the JHTP, Konnech’s Chinese subsidiary was contractually obligated to follow the “Law of the People's Republic of China on Foreign-Funded Enterprises” and “Company Law of the People's Republic of China.”

FBI - Chinese Talent Plans Encourage Trade Secret Theft, Economic Espionage

“Talent plans can sometimes foster legitimate sharing and collaboration as part of an appropriate business arrangement or research exchange, but this is not the norm. Instead, talent plans usually involve undisclosed and illegal transfers of information, technology, or intellectual property that are one-way and detrimental to U.S. institutions.”

An individual’s undisclosed participation in a talent plan may:

• “Pose risks to national security because of the participant’s obligation to the Chinese government”

• “Result in inappropriate use of taxpayer funds if the participant is awarded a U.S. government grant”

In 2009, the Zhejiang Overseas Talent Network, a Chinese government-run website, offered up to 5 million yuan in start-up funds for overseas students who returned to China to start a business.

“With the implementation of the “Thousand Talent Program” of the central talent work, the return of overseas students to start a business has become a topic that has attracted much attention from overseas talents and all levels of society,” Zhejiang Overseas Talent Network said.

As part of a separate overseas talent program entitled the “5050 Plan,” Zhejiang Overseas Talent Network wrote, “There are many conditions for applying for “5050 plan” entrepreneurial projects, but the support policies given are definitely leading in China.”

“After the project is reviewed by experts, it can be determined as a category A, category B, and category C project, and corresponding support will be given.”

“Category A projects: start-up capital of up to 5 million yuan; rent subsidy for office space within 500 square meters for up to three years (especially excellent projects can be given 1,000 square meters for three-years); full bank loan of up to 5 million yuan within two years…”

Category B projects were offered up to 1 million yuan and Category C projects up to 500,000 yuan.

On July 18, 2007, Eugene Yu posted an ad on the Chinese Academy of Sciences Jinhua Science and Technology Park’s website offering “5 million yuan” for help with developing “software packages” for Jinhua Yulian Network.

He listed Jinhua Yulian Network’s URL as www.konnech.com.

In 2007, 5 million yuan was worth around $700,000 U.S. and was the prize money offered to members of China’s Thousand Talents Program and other elite overseas entrepreneurs.

According to the U.S. Senate report on China’s overseas talent recruitment program, some contracts stipulate that overseas recruits cannot disclose their participation.

It is unknown if Eugene Yu reported his foreign income received from the Chinese Academy of Sciences Jinhua Science and Technology Park to the U.S. government. Similarly, U.S. election software companies are often asked to disclose foreign funding and affiliations when applying for contracts with states, government grants, and various other applications.

FBI - China: Risk to Corporate America

"Talent plans target scientists, engineers, professionals, foreign government employees, and contractors to bring foreign research and technology with them to Chinese universities, businesses, and state-owned enterprises in China. All talent programs constitute a contractual funding source from a foreign government."

In 2020, the FBI released a statement warning that Chinese talent plans encourage trade secret theft and economic espionage.

“China oversees hundreds of talent plans. All incentivize its members to steal foreign technologies needed to advance China’s national, military, and economic goals,” the FBI wrote on its counter-intelligence website.

“China recruits science and technology professors, researchers, students, and others—regardless of citizenship or national origin—to apply for talent plans. Individuals with expertise in or access to a technology that China doesn’t have are preferred.”

“Participants enter into a contract with a Chinese university or company—often affiliated with the Chinese government—that usually requires them to:”

• “Subject themselves to Chinese laws”

• “Share new technology developments or breakthroughs only with China (they can’t share this information with their U.S employer or host without special authorization from China)”

• “Recruit other experts into the program—often their own colleagues”

The FBI report continues:

“China will let people with existing jobs in the United States participate in talent plans part-time so they can maintain their access to intellectual property, trade secrets, pre-publication data and methods, and U.S. funding for their research.”

“Talent plan participants are offered multiple financial, personal, and professional benefits in exchange for their efforts.”

“China’s talent plans have successfully recruited participants around the world to work on key programs like military technologies, nuclear energy, wind tunnel design, and advanced lasers.”

In 2010, Konnech CEO Eugene Yu created the domain abvote.com.

"Konnech will provide the State with an absentee ballot wizard that is (a) quickly designed and generated, (b) satisfying and user-friendly to the UOCAVA voters, (c) completely secure,  and (d) over-all more cost-effective than any other solution,” the website says.

“ABVote.com, an Absentee Ballot Online Delivery Software of Konnech, Inc.”

The website goes on to say Konnech was chosen by the Federal Voting Assistance Program (FVAP) in conjunction with Montana's and Nevada's Secretary of State "to build and operate an on-line wizard to deliver ballots" to Montana's and Nevada's "UOCAVA (Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act) voters for the 2010 General Election."

In 2011, Mr. Yu filed a trademark for ABVote (Serial Number 85416420, Registration Number 4384577), which was registered in 2013. 

In 2013, Jinhua Yulian Network ABVX voting system, which was being developed in partnership with Zhejiang University, was listed on the Jinhua Science and Technology Government Affairs website as an “industrial science and technology project.”

The listing said, “Please report to the Industrial and High-tech Division (Office 626) of Jinhua Science and Technology Bureau before July 4.”
